I had to post this somewhere because I am so damn excited, I'm about to burst!

The International Criminal Tribunal for Rwanda is interviewing me on Tuesday morning!!!!!! i applied for this job almost a year ago. Since so much time had past, I decided it wasn't going to happen. But now it feels like a possibility again!!! yeah!!!!!

I'm too excited at this point to even think about how a move to Tanzania will affect my fiance's immigration status...I've decided to worry about that after the offer me the job (I'm thinking positively) and my fiance has already told me he would love to move to Arusha with me, so at least I don't have to worry about that.

I am so happy!!!

the only thing that would make this better is if my wonderful fiance were here already.

Good luck. It's important work to bring some iota of justice to what happened in Rwanda.

If you get the job, you might want to research the residency requirements for the K-1, though. I'm not sure you could get the K-1 and then not live in the U.S. during the conditional green card period. It might make more sense if you get the job to marry and go the (is it C1?) spouse visa route.

Anyway: good luck!

Are you a lawyer? I have a sort of scary story to tell you, but I don't want to tell it unless you want to hear it. Let me know.

Thanks everyone for such nice words. Just a quick update, the interview was rescheduled for the 14th due to a sudden illness. Maybe that means they'll be extra friendly to me when they call since the guy might still be under the weather. Or extra grumpy, oh no!
