'm sending in my i-129f and I had a few questions. I have submitted the i-130 . Dh entered ewi and we will have to submit the I-601.
1st question Addresses
When it asks for finace's address abroad, do you put anything? And what did you put for current address, did you put address here in the US?
2nd question Fees.
This is what the USCIS has on the web site for fees.
Filing Fee :
$455. There is no fee for petitions for K-3 status based on an immigrant petition filed by the same U.S. citizen or wife.
My lawyer said that I would fall under area of no fee. I have submitted the I-130. But he was checking on it because its not very common for the USCIS to put a no filing fee on an application. I tried calling the customer service number but just got an automated system. What do you guys think?
1) You should put your fiance's address as where the person is currently right now. Abroad address means not presently in the USA, since the application is US based. On my application, I put Philippines as thats where my fiance's is as of right now; her permanent residence abroad. Until she is here in the US, regardless of my petition, her address will still be her abroad address, in the Philippines.
2) UCSIS fees are listed in USCIS.gov website and on the link Immigration Forms. It should be the second button link from the left.
3) Are you petitioning your fiance and a relatives as well (her mom, dad, sibling)? If you are filiing for two different people, I believe you will have to file for the I-130 fee ($355) as well.. I may be mistaken.
If you can go without a lawyer, I would do so. There are enough people here in this forum to help you out. Im saving $1500 in lawyer fees and found out all my answers to my questions are here in this forum.
Good luck to you.
