Dear All,

I have just received the fee of the affidavit of support ( 70$)and the one for the immigrant visa ( K3 visa process - I130 on going)

During my K3 visa process, I started a DCF for the CR1 visa.
I'll have my final interview the 11 of september for the CR1, that means that I don't want to continue the K3.

What do you think, should I pay the fees for the K3 process ? If I don't pay what can arrive ( just stop of the K3) ?

Thanks for your help.

You have it mixed up. The remaining fees are for the CR1, not the K3. The only fee between filing and visa for K3 is the actual $100 visa fee paid just before a scheduled interview. If you have a CR1 interview scheduled there should be no K3 interview. If one is scheduled, the CR1 interview can take place at that scheduled time.

Are you certain your scheduled interview is for a CR1 visa?

Also, your timeline doesn't show you ever filed an I-129F for a K3. Very confusing post.

Yes, sure my schedule interview is for the CR1.
I Haven't send my I129 to continue the K3 process.

More the case number in the NVC paper doesn't correspond to the one of CR1 process, that's why for me it corresponds to my K3 process. And for the CR1 the only things remaining to pay is the 335 fee the day of the interview.

I think that what I received is the IV fee bill for my K3 process and so what can happen if I don't pay.

Reba
If you have never sent in an I-129F for the K3, then there is no possible way they could be processing a K3 for you. Plus, there is no affidavit of support fee or IV fee bill for the K3, only for the CR1.

If you never filed an I-129F, you have no K3 process.

Please provide the first three letters and four numbers in the two case numbers you are referencing and then fill in the appropriate number of additional digits with x's.

Ok so as I never filled the I129 they considered that I apply for a CR1 and that's why I received these fees.

So I don't think that I need to pay as I continue my DCF in Paris and have my final interview in September already for the CR1.

Do you think the same?

Then I would call NVC and talk to a person. Get this all straight in your mind. You should not have two PRS2007... case numbers if you only filed one petition.

Is there a separate petition for a child?

Yes I think that the better solution is to call NVC.

No, one petition send in the US and other one did for the DCF in Paris (one month later) In fact when I applied for the first one the DCF was not avalaible in Paris. That's why I think that I have two case number.

Thanks for your help.

Yes, you probably have a case number for each petition. If you simply ignore the second petition approved, I think you'll be ok. If you've paid these fees for one CR1 case, there is not need to do so with the other. You can ask NVC how to withdraw the second case.
