I've checked my case on the USCIS website.
We got our NOA1 on the 20th of July and now they say they're processing petitions with NOA1 from January 13th

Should I freak out?! crying.gif

Our petition is checked at the California Center, they must have forwarded it from the Nebraska Center...

If you fill in your timeline then VJ will give you a more accurate estimate based on timelines filled in by other VJ members.

Caro06,

The "processing dates" USCIS shows on their web site are the oldest petitions they are processing - not the most recent. You would think it would be the other way around but what will you do? Don't freak out - most petitions filed far more recently than January are indeed being processed. good.gif

And yes, your petition was forwarded to California Service Center...

Caro06,

Did you get your timeline working? Yeah, the USCIS website case-processing timeline is garbage. Just so you know, I'm a K-1 filer. We mailed our application to Texas Service Center and were transfered to CSC. Our NOA1 date was January 26 (we mailed it Jan. 16th)---> My then fiancee has since made it to the US, we're married, and have our biometrics appointment this month. The longest part of the process is the wait between NOA1 & NOA2. Depending on your SOs embassy, things will go very fast after NOA2. My husband got here a month after our NOA2.

thanks for your replies
and thanks for being so supportive
this all process seems to be endless

i thought my timeline would appear in my sig
the estimate timeline for me is: Based on timeline data, your I129f may be adjudicated as early as November 17, 2007*.

i really hope we'll get NOA2 long before november!
as it seems it takes around 6 months for everybody to get the embassy interview i was really counting of having the interview duirng the first half of december!

The offical VJ timeline does not appear in a member's signature. However, many people add their timeline and miscellaneous other things to their signature to make it easier for others to see their timeline information.

You can edit your signature by clicking "My Controls" or "My Assistant".

Good luck with your journey!

I am thinking that unless CSC begins processing applications much faster than they have done in the past, a November NOA2 date is realistic. After that, it all depends on how quickly the embassy sends out the packages after they receive the application from NVC, how quickly you submit the required documents to the embassy, and the typical lead time for the interview.

I suggest doing some searches to find timelines for French fiance(e)s and this will give you a better idea of how quickly things will move for you after receipt of the NOA2.

Good luck!

Funny how some embassies are so quick, while others are so slow.
