I'm sure this question comes up a lot, but the search feature isnt working atm so maybe someone can humor me? smile.gif

What happens if your 2 year conditional GC is set to expire on October 1st of 2007 for example, so you'd mail the I-751 with all your evidence in 3 months before. But what happens if they still havent approved the I-751 by October 1st? Are you just screwed, up poopy creek with an expired GC? Or what?

The I-751 NOA serves as an added 1 year extension.

Cool, thanks.

But does everyone know this? I mean, does it say it right there on the NOA? If you take the NOA to the DMV are they not going to hassle you for having an expired GC or anything?

The letter (NOA) specifically states:

"Your conditional resident status is extended for a period of one year from date of expiration on your Form I-551, conditional resident card. During the one-year extension you are authorized employment and travel."

Hope this easesyour mind. smile.gif
