Hey! Charles and Karina were approved today (filed 05-18) good.gif kicking.gif Thatīs great! Congratulations biggrin.gif
So maybe they arenīt having a day off after all...or how else is that possible? Anyway, my crazy hopes and suggestions are: the rest of May filers should get approved this week, June filers the next week and since there are less June filers then the week after they should start July filers biggrin.gif good.gif

I'd be jealous they got approved in a week and it took us all 4 months! but just cause we suffered doesn't mean they have too!!!! (although in reality they have been waiting a while as well) there is always wishfull thinkin!!!! but for sure all us May Filers this week!!!!!!!

I'm thinking of calling today----Did you call and use the so-called RFE trick? or what?
Still no touch, no NOA1, no NOTHING-----I am very encouraged to see that they are working on applications submitted on the 24th-----Gosh----that's us!!!! The ever patient Alane and Ramzis.

Alane and Ramzis,

Thats exactly what I used, the RFE trick and was extremely polite with the lady that picked up the phone. Asked her how she was doing etc. I told her that my friend was a lawyer and advised me that if my cased hadn't been looked at in this amount of time I had an RFE, and I was curious what that was so I could prepare the documents. And any help would be great! and after a few minutes and a few holds she told me that they were workin on cases for the 24th of May! BUT dont let this get your hopes up because someone else on VJ was told they were working on cases submitted on a different date so i think this can still vary from 3 to 5 days or so!

good luck with the RFE trick and please post what info (if any) you may get!!!!!! thanks! good.gif

I must have checked my case online just as it was being updated, because I checked it this morning and it showed my case was "received and pending" and was last updated 10/8/07. Then I checked my email when I got to work...nothing. A few minutes later I checked USCIS again, my case was updated today 10/9 and it said we were approved 10/8. Then I checked my email & the CRIS email was there.

I am still so excited! I will be much more productive at work now that I won't be checking USCIS every 30 minutes!

OK, I just checked the timeline statistics and there are 63 May and 77 June filers waiting at CSC without NOA2. So I have to change my hopes. If we want them to start doing June filers in 3 weeks, theyīd have to do at least 30 May approvals this and the next week. And they donīt seem to be doing 30 a week wacko.gif

There are still so many other petitioners who do not use VJ. Also, every case is different, so it is really up to each person. Some people send their application at the end of May and have NOA2 already while others sent in the beginning of May with NO NOA2. I don't understand why VJ estimate NOA2 time based on filing date. I remember some people mailed their applications and USCIS received them after almost one week. I sent my package and received it next day and got NOA1 within 10days. I think that the date on NOA1 is the time that they really received and finished out date entry, so VJ should estimate time based on the date on NOA1 instead of filing date.

OK, so it does include them, but after I took a closer look only 3 of todayīs approvals are CSC filers...the other 2 filed in Nebraska and Texas and I guess were transfered to CSC...so the number 63 includes only people who filed at CSC...so the final number will be larger depending on who was transfered where...so 63 plus the transfered ones good.gif

I keep telling myself to stay positive, that my approval will come soon but when I see that there are still 90 (VJ) people waiting for approvals, it makes me feel very stressed and anxious again. I have yet to see anyone go over 169 days on here unless they got an RFE and 140 days seems to be around the approval time. Let's hope that is still true. Hope USCIS kicks it into high gear.
Masha2008
probably. still a lot of people are not updating their timelines or do not even report whether they received NOA2 or not.
I really do not think that it will take about 6 months to get NOA2 if you have everything ready. Obviously a lot of may filers received NOA2 now and did not wait for 6 months.

To get a clear picture of the CSC workload of VJ petitions we need to look at all service centers and then subtract out VSC. NSC and TSC petitions sent in May are being processed by CSC.

There are 99 open CSC / NSC / TSC petitions sent in May that still need to be adjudicated. There are also some March and April petitions that are still hanging around. Over the last 14 days, CSC has approved 3.29 petitions per day which is a little faster than I realized in one of my recent posts in another thread. At 3.29 approvals per day, it is estimated that it will take approximately 30 days to clear out May.

Everything is subject to change. CSC may slow down or accelerate the rate of approval. Also hopefully some of the approvals will be March and April filers. I think 30 to 40 days to finish May is a decent guess as of today.

Scott & Marta, I see your total is slightly different than mine. Are you going by NOA1 date or sent date? Did you search from May 1 to May 31? If you did, VJ excludes the starting and ending dates. You need to search from April 30 to June 1 to get the first and last day of May.

As far as drop outs, in 2006 roughly 14% of the people who established a timeline never reported a NOA2. Approximately a third of those never reported a NOA1 either.

And last week I think there was someone getting an approval after about 196 days...and some people are crossing 5 months already...and not to mention people, who filed last year in November and such...and today there is an rfe after 150 days ...so yeah..the waiting period seems to be increasing...hopefully it will not good.gif

Ya, I totally understand that. I feel so happy and all of sudden I feel so gloomy by looking at the processing time. It sucks so much.
Well, yes, some people received NOA2 after such a long time. But, again, everyone's case is different. Some people have no worries, others have some things that USCIS cares like using a broker, criminal history, previous visa denials. So it is up to people. I talked to a person at US embassy in Tokyo and she said countries matter, too.

You counted right. Another approval was added a few minutes ago. Sent date was 4/24 with no RFE. CSC is really having a great day!
