lol...i think it's just us. Nick doesn't like wine so he's joining with a some vodka and mixers. Califorian zinfandel is my second favourite wine...my fave is cairn mhor blackberry wine made here in scotland. I'm wanting to ship a crate of their sparkling strawberry and elderflower wine for my reception toast instead of champagne...I hate champagne.

we all tired of waiting! this whole process is overly long and drawn out but what choice do we have?!?! that's the sad thing...we don't have a choice!

ANOTHER HOLIDAY....i wish here in scotland we had that many...we have even less than England believe it or not!!! I demand my visa...I want more days off!!!!!!

I think I'd rather stick with the number of public holidays we have, and keep my five weeks of leave; the tiny amount of holidays most Americans get is scandalous blink.gif

Fair point - my OH works lots of holidays as well because he works in a fast food restaurant - he can pull 50-60 hour weeks without batting an eyelid... Man I feel lazy... rolleyes.gif

I work 25hrs a week as a legal firm receptionist and run my own wedding/location/event photography business the rest of the time....july and august the last 3 yrs have averaged 80hrs a week. Some weeks I'm lucky if my average down time is 5hrs a night over 7 days. I work nearly every holiday as thats when people tend to get married!!! I NEED MORE HOLIDAYS! I have this full weekend off for Nick's b'day though...I'm loving it so much!

July 17, 2007 - Filed K1 (I-129F) with Chicago Service Center

July 23, 2007 - NOA1 (reciept) for K1 (I-129F) mailed to me.
Turnover: 6 days

July 28, 2007 - NOA1 for K1 (I-129F) recieved in mail.
Turnover: 5 days

Aug 8, 2007 - Notified by mail K1 (I-129F) transfered to California Service Center for faster processing. (Yeah right..faster)
Turnover: 11 days

Aug 27, 2007 - Updated change of address on USCIS site for K1 (I-129F)
Never notified they got my change of address but have online confirmation reciept number. They did however notify me they got the change of address for my I-130.

Sept 12, 2007 -CSC acknowledges transfer for K1 (I-129F)
Turnover: 35 days from the day they notified me of transfer.... no kidding backlogged!

So can I assume I am considered a September filer now even though I have a July NOA1?

I won't even tell you my sad story (we all do what we need to do), but I'm working 1 full-time job(40 hrs a week) and 2 part-time jobs (1 at 20 hrs a week and the other varies between 20-30 hrs a week). Thank goodness my boss at my full-time job lets me check on the USCIS and this website a hundred times a day while I'm at work...but still no touches..no sign of a NOA2 sad.gif Come on CSC!!

You'e not lazy..just doing what you need to do smile.gif

And VSC...wake up!! Mirla & Byron need their NOA2's now!!

I must say I feel like I have it quite cushtie - am working in a Mon-Fri 9-5 office job smile.gif Ok so it doesn't pay great but it gives me the free time I feel like I need... I don't know - I just feel tired and fed up most of the time so... and the traffic is so horrendous it can take me an hour to drive the three miles there and back (that's an hour each way!) so I guess it mounts up smile.gif

I know alabout the commute...mon-fri I start at 7.30am in the law office...I need to leave here at 6.35am. my alarm is at 6am mon-fri. I hate commuting! I live in the country, I want to work in the counrty....unfortunatly jobs in the country don't pay as well and involve shovelling literal crap instead of the proverbial crap!

USCIS have stated they will honour the 'received date' on the NOA1. Whether they do or not is a different matter, but you should be fine, your notice date and received date are in July? Address updates shouldn't affect your filing date. Looks like you're a July filer! smile.gif

So we were out all day. Came back home and found a letter in the mailbox kicking.gif Thank you CSC, we finally received our NOA1 hardcopy good.gif biggrin.gif
The received date written on it was 06-15 so I changed our countdown since so far we could only use the date that was written on USCIS pages and that was later than that. Our countdown jumped up from 105 days to 111 days. So there you go! whistling.gif
Though I was hoping to see more people approved today...? Ok slow week. unsure.gif And so...does USCIS have a day off on Columbus Day?

So since we finally received NOA1 hardcopy today we just updated our timeline and so next time bszoom has time to make another list we will finally be in it! kicking.gif But since the order on his list is by the date when people received NOA1 we will be at the end of the list! crying.gif CSC received our package on 06-13 which would put us somewhere around number 145 but since we received our replacement receipt notice on 10-05 (since we never received the original), it will put us somewhere around number 355! crying.gif That´s unfair tongue.gif Could the list be in the order of how petitions were sent please? wacko.gif

There is still a huge number of May filers that need to be approved. At 10 a week it will still take about 8 weeks. That does not include the April and March filers that are also left. This sucks big time mad.gif
