Well, everyone, I'm leaving my lists unattended for a week and a half. Tomorrow I'll be off to Russia to be with Elina when she goes for her interview, and, fingers crossed, we'll be back here together on March 5th. Wish us luck!

With the interview coming up, this is how I feel: kicking.gif wacko.gif dancin5hr.gif blink.gif kicking.gif wub.gif biggrin.gif wacko.gif

Wow! That happened so fast. I had no idea that you could get the interview expedited. Congratulations and best of luck to you both. I hope you have a wonderful time in Russia and a safe journey back to the US. Thanks also for all the support you have given the CSC K1ers during your process. I am so excited for you *hugs*
Eli the Barrowboy
Good luck guys and Igor, maybe you could explain how to get an interview expedited - even in a PM - as our wedding date is getting closer and closer!!!

There is a wealth of information on this website too:http://www.candleforlove.com/

You probably all ready know what we face at Guangzhou, but there are some very knowledgeable people at this website too, including a consulate officer.

Your welcome! I told you that you were never allowed to leave this thread - you've kinda been institutionalized here laughing.gif But I figured with you're approval, your celebrating might have spread you a little thin. I am happy for everyone that makes it through this process, and for their struggle I can't help but say "Congrats!" good.gif

OK!!! Little Help!!!

We just called using the RFE trick and a very nice cool lady told M that we had been assigned a case officer on the 20th of February!!!

Sooooo .... nearly a week later and our Online Status hasn't changed, not even a touch ... is that bad? We are both happy and crapping it right now!!!

Any feedback is most welcome from members who have had this kind of information from the CSC!!!

R&M

PS AS we both live in Ireland she said"Is he your fiance or Spouse?" and when M said "fiance" she said we "should have applied for i130 as it's much quicker". One assumes she meant get married then apply!!!

It means that the box your petition is sitting in is now on a case officer's desk rather than a shelf. Looks like good news Eli! I don't know how long it takes to process a box of petitions but I'd say you should hear something soon smile.gif

I don't think that is true. K3 takes longer on average.

Oh maybe she meant DCF

I was told the same thing, that my case was on an adjudicator's desk. No touches, and it took 2+ more weeks for it to be approved. I think when they say it's on someone's desk they really mean it's in a box beside someone's desk, and it's going to take however long for yours to burble up to the actual horizontal part of the desk. smile.gif

Geeze, I can't even go into the January Filer's thread anymoe, it's so depressing. VSC approved a January filer (who actually is a real sweetheart) the other day, and now the posters, who all seem to be at the VSC, are all a twitter about touches and imminent approvals. ohmy.gif That, plus slipping two days on my projected adjudication date, 6 inches of slow last night, and a foul commute this morning, could have put me in a bad mood. But aha, not this time. When I see the good people who have had to put up with so much to be with the ones they love, I remember what special people they are, and we all are. That's enough to chase the blues away - at least until the next snow storm. Congratulations to those approved - and congratulations to all those that have waited so patiently for so long. good.gif

Congrats indeed. Is a "fowl commute" the migration of geese? If so, they have it worse than we do. smile.gif Meanwhile, post some fotos (Spanish spelling) for us so that we can associate your names with your faces, si man?

And Blake, I know how you feel... the january filers thread is full of joy and it seems since 80% of the people there have filed at VSC. But I'm sure we wyould have acted just the same (and we will when our time comes smile.gif )

Congratulations for your mid-K1 trip! it's quite funny to read that the "interview" at the POE can be so quick and simple when you know how stressful it is!

And congrats for the new approvals too!
