When you're as low on the food chain as I am..... timelines are all I have. Actually I received a nice message from the member who didn't know how to update the timeline (thought it was through the signature). I gave him step by step instructions, so hopefully this will be corrected soon.

3 weeks ago, they told me it was on an officer's desk.

2 weeks ago, they told me it was on an officer's desk.

2 days ago i called and they said an officer hadn't been assigned and that it was at the supervisor's desk.

so they lied, or fired the original officer (which i doubt)

what scumsuckers!

my only advice to people is to call when you see other people getting approved "ahead" of you

Thanks everyone for the congratulations, I'm just so grateful for the support I've received from everyone here.

And for everyone who thinks CSC are a bunch of cold-hearted trolls, here's how I found out:

Called CSC to report a fake RFE, and when she said there was no RFE I said "well as long as I'm calling would you mind checking the status of my case?" She gave me a little bit of a hard time for calling twice in 3 days, but she was really nice about it. She put me on hold for about 5 minutes, then came back and said I'd been approved. I started to ask her if I had heard her right, and then I got a little choked up. (yeah, there goes my carefully crafted manly image dangit!) She said "alright now, don't start that because I'm going to start crying too!" So I re-grouped, asked if I had heard her right, and she said "yes, you heard me right, congratulations!" Then *she* actually started getting choked up. I told her she had just made my week, and she could hardly answer me. It was surreal. Wish I'd had sense enough to get her name because she truly made my week and then some.

Grats Mox! I've been touched each of the last two days, but no approvals yet. I'm hoping to hear something soon, but it looks like your case was touched a few times in the last 2 months before getting approved. What did they say when you called back in January for the status?

Congrats to you Mox! Welcome to the club!........Just got off the phone with NVC and I talked to a nice lady with a bit of broken English. I gave her my CSC case #. She asked for the beneficiaries name and I gave it to her along with the date of birth. Then she said is your phone number XXX-XXX-XXXX? I was like yes and then she did not respond with anything. I was like 'I was wondering if my case has been received?' Then she replied 'yes, how else would I know your phone number?!'

LOL! Did you say "um...lucky guess?"

I tried this method just now because our case was touched on 2/20/08 and 2/21/08.

Talked to a representative, asked her why the recording said there is a request for evidence.

She said there isn't one, and that my case was approved on 2/20/08!!!!!!!!!!!!!

They just haven't updated the case status online yet.

Well, everyone, I'm leaving my lists unattended for a week and a half. Tomorrow I'll be off to Russia to be with Elina when she goes for her interview, and, fingers crossed, we'll be back here together on March 5th. Wish us luck!

Yeah, until a couple of days ago, I didn't know it was going to be next week either. Then 2 days ago the embassy finally gave us an expedite and here we are, interview next week. Aaahh!!! I'm just so glad we've been extremely proactive in getting everything ready for the interview ahead of time.

Wow, I'm super stoked for you two! Well please let us know as soon as you can that her interview is over and that naturally she was approved for her visa. Wow, my mind is just reeling...congratulations!!!
