TBone man, I promised my SO I wouldn't check VJ today, because it's freaking me out terribly and he reminded me that 'a watched pot never boils' and all that, but I suddenly recalled that you would probably be posting an update.

I don't have very much to say (for once) because I think you mostly have it nailed. What I can contribute is this; My SO is a Latino male and I can confirm that for him 'deciding on a mate' has definitely been about evaluating how the two of us have interacted in terms of mutual respect/care/love etc. Especially how I interact with his family. Family is ultra important in his thinking and I am certain that if I didn't get along with his family I'd have been history by now. Not sure the same would be true for me. I know these are factors that everyone considers in the course of a relationship but it is somehow more complex and defined with him so I understand what you're saying about her needs in the relationship.

I have enjoyed reading many of your comments on VJ because they are brimming with respect, empathy and care for others - as well as being incredibly humourous and positive despite what you've been experiencing lately. I get the impression man that you are a truly wonderful human being who does meet all those needs for her. It is tough conducting a relationship purely by email/telephone, but I am sure, in time, with the grace and patience you have shown so far, that she will feel more confident that you are the one. Si man!

CSC appear to have slowed down again. I suppose 2 or 3 petitions a day is better than none. Does anyone think it's possible to get RFE'd after six months? I notice that people usually get RFE's pretty early on.

Hrmmm I thought CBR had an RFE real early on and they are now in extended review and have been for what seems like forever

As happy as I am that CSC is back on task I would be marginally happier if they would see to some of my July buddies

Yesterday was a good day - including Adelfa & Philip who are October filers ... now I know how people who filed in May/June/July feel - Adelfa & Philip filed after us ... lol

Now forgive me if you are squeamish but I had my smear test last year... you think that would cover it? It was horrible and I really don't want to do it more often than I need to...

Ooh, could you link me? I am still unclear on some of the 'additional' ones. I've had all the normal childhood ones but can't seem to figure out if I'm missing anything. What on earth would someone want the HPV vaccination for when you're going to be in a committed relationship?
