CHILL folks, it is what it is, forget about touches (meaningless) it will happen when it does, just concentrate on getting to know eachother, this site is way to obsessed with touches and timelines, dont stress about it as frankly there is nothing you can do about it.
Rob & Jin,
I have been where you are and now I am way beyond our (hopeful NOA2 date) and now the wait is even more torture than in the beginning.
I believe the wait is worse because my LOVE and I
do know each other better each day (6 trips to Colombia and 2 hours on the phone every day) thus the time appart becomes more and more difficult!
Good luck to you in your journey.

When you are way past the timeline it is impossible not to stress and wonder...I do enjoy the time I spend online with my fiance, but forgive me if after 3 years of being together and then deciding to go on this journey Id much rather get to know him more here in person than online...I also believe that if everyone that went way beyond the 6 month processing time they uscis has themselves laid out...writing to the ombudsman, congressman, senators, petitions, emailing the vice president then it wouldnt be the voice of one lone frustrated soul...it would be seen as the epidemic of lethargy on belhalf of the csc that it is!

it doesn't take a business genius to know that overloaded workforce = need for more people.
The sad thing is to the people at CSC we are all just numbers and an inconvience between coffee break and lunch. I say seperate the managers at CSC from their loved ones and tell them that visajourney forum will process their application for return at the same speed as they process ours.....that'll speed them up!!!!

Hey everyone - I got my first official touch from CSC yesterday !!!!
No approval yet or any other notice but at least someone touched it. Fingers crossed for good news next week and prayers going out to all of you to have some good news too.
Hopefully this might be a sign that CSC is actually going to send out quite a few notices next week.

This is true. It will be so ironic though if it takes those that filed in say September on less time to be approved than those of us that filed in May and June, before the July deadline.

wont matter because they will be caught in the backlog of the embassys, once they get all the petitions sent from NVC.
the pipe is clogged, when it moves it just clogs it further down the ,line.
they can have a NOA2 in 3 days, it will be many more months to get an interview with the embassy.

Zoomer posts the lists and he is on vacation. He will be back the middle of next week.
I
think the USCIS 6 month clock starts running on the Received Date on the hard copy of your NOA1. Unfortunately this does not apply to you since you had a RFE. USCIS says that the 6 month committment does not apply if they need to request additional information.

A follow up. I was too slow with my edit.
Your petition is obviously out of its box and on an adjudicator's desk. Do you have any idea why you have been touched so often? The adjudicator must be having a difficult time with your petition for some reason.
What was the RFE for?
