Thanks for updating the list Mox. It's always nice to see yourself moving down the list. Beginning to see the light at the end of the tunnel, well maybe the halfway point of the tunnel.
Have a great New Year everyone. 2008 will be our year.

I agree with 2008 being our year.Am so excited,Gee we all will be reunited with our loved ones this year,we'll get married and some of us will have babies.......
I can't wait to go home and last night started getting rid of a lopt of stuff, just packing lots of boxes of stuff that I'll have picked up from an Organisation that asks for stuff they can sell at the Fleamarket and then use it for their Cat Hospice. That way all my old stuff is gonna be sold to help Cats in need.

Thanks for the update Mox!! And Happy New Year everybody!!! May we all be reunited with our loved ones this year!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
No prob, and happy new year to all CSC filers and everyone else!
By the way, I almost fell off my chair today when I looked at my timeline for the first time in over a week. My projected date has slipped out by 10 days since the last time I checked it. Which means that the list I put together predicts an approval almost a month earlier than the VJ timeline. And that's *with* a holiday slowdown. So CSC filers, if you've been singing the blues because of your VJ timeline, there is reason to be optimistic.

I didn't go up the list as much as some others but that is because I am wayway down at the bottom and some new people hopped in their spot in frount of me. I almost feel like I am at Disney and in line for space mountain. The line just never seems to end as in wraps here and there.

I know what you mean. But don't worry, starting tomorrow USCIS will be back hard at work, and on Monday I'm sure anyone who was on vacation will be back so I expect to see the approvals start to really cook.

Lol yeah! I know!! I was having a cat talk with julez and mags the other night and kinda went a bit crazy - found a really cute ticker so changed it then I had to change the text colour to match it... then my pink avvie didn't go with it so I had to change that too
That's why I read your posts. It's all about the color coordination.

My timeline has me waiting on the Easter vacation people or many even memorial day

For what it's worth, I look back on when I first filed, and approval seemed so *very* far away, almost unbearably far away. I'm really lucky in that my girl has kept me grounded during this whole time. She's so good about just accepting that we have to wait, and spending the time productively. She visits her parents frequently, knowing that the time will come when she won't be able to visit near as often, and she spends time with her friends knowing that soon enough her contact with those friends will be through the phone or email. It really puts it all in perspective for me. The time we are waiting is really very short compared to the time that we'll finally be together, and so we should make good use of that time.
I read a lot of bitterness on these boards (and one thread in particular does nothing but foment bitterness), and I feel sorry for those people. To me it just wastes time and makes the wait even longer. Try to stay positive and keep looking forward to the day when your SO steps off that plane and into your arms. It will happen soon enough, and the wait will seem like a distant memory. Or at least that's what I keep telling myself.
Jeraly

Yeah - can't be dealing with the bitterness and bitching - been there, got the t-shirt... it doesn't help anyone and it just makes the waiting more terrible

Smile and be happy!!

I am not happy about waiting so long.. I think my tax dollars should be paying for better service. But it gives me time to study his culture and get the pre-nup ready. This are so different between our cultures and we spent a lot of my visit there going over things and plans for the future. I have also been shopping for some things in his size so he will have clothes when it gets cold here next year. I doubt he has ever experienced anything as cold as 50 degrees.

Yeah, I've been buying clothes for my fiance, too. If yours ever starts to complain about the cold, tell him he's lucky he didn't pick me!! He'd be living in Utah and experiencing HIGH temperatures of 20F in January
On the side, I'm not happy about waiting either. But you HAVE to stay positive or the wait will kill you. Keep spending time preparing for him to come. One of the things I'm doing is making a little scrapbook type thing to send my fiance for Valentines day with pages and pages telling him why I love him. Keeps me occupied (hopefully, he'll like it). Anyway, the main point is focus on your relationship and keep busy. Don't let the waiting get to you. It seems like forever, but isn't he worth waiting for?

I have help with some of it. His cousin is my best friend and I am just taking advantage of the end of season sales to get a couple of warm pieces for him. I have plenty of room in the closets so why not. As part of their tradition I was given a "suitcase full" of native attire that was custom made while I was there. And I don't have any place to wear it here really. I will more when he arrives because there are a lot of events that we will attend .

Ooooh, don't you think the native attire is so FUN? I love the bright colors. And my fiance has incredibe taste in the styles he has chosen for me. I didn't get the whole suitcase full. I'm getting it a piece at a time, which I love becuase I get unexpected gifts every now and then. I actually don't wait for occasions to wear them. I wore one of the dresses to church and got TONS of compliments on it. Of course, I'm the only one who wears African attire to church (I'm the only on in my congregation who has been to Africa, although there is a couple who is presently living temporarily in South Africa, so they may have native attire when they get back), but I don't mind being different. I've always marched to my own drum, anyway.

Gee, I WISH I were going to visit again soon. But with the tickets running around $1500 each, I won't be going back any time soon. The next time I see my fiance will be when he arrives HERE!!!
But . . . . I know that there are a significant amount of people in England who are from West Africa. There must be somewhere there that you can find someone who can get you an African dress.

Hey all,
Thought I'd throw a quick and dirty waiting list together, to tide us all over until StillThePrettiest returns from gallivanting around Germany.

I only did a waiting list as opposed to the volumes StP usually provides, and it might be slightly different from the criteria StP uses, so consider it "unofficial." I used a cutoff date of May 1, 2007 (which I think is what she uses), and you might notice that unlike StP I'm using a Merckanized (American) date format.

Little analysis based on my own data: I moved up from position 166 to 130 since the last list came out 12 days ago. That's an average of 3 CSC approvals per day, a slow-down due almost certainly to the holiday period. Based on my own timeline, this still puts my estimated NOA2 about 10-12 days earlier than the VJ timeline predicts. Hopefully now that the bulk of July filers have been processed we'll see that difference widen.
Happy New Year everyone!
hey mox!
happy new year to you!
i'm still relatively new to this, but i dont know where i would be without it!
how do i get on this list?
i feel as if i'm missing out...........
if you like you can just chuck me in at the top. lol
thanks!

Take a look at the list again, you are at 213. And believe me, if I had the power to chuck anybody at the top of the list, I'd start accepting Paypal.

I know I'd pay a BUNCH to get my fiance here faster. Too bad that's not an option . . .

On the side, I'm sure you ARE interesting and cultural. It's just a different kind of culture. I mean, where else do you get good fish n' chips and cornish pasties?
Good point

What am I going to do when I move?!?!?!?

As for CSC - well... I blame it all on STP's sweepstakes not running at the moment!!! Also I think we'll be adding another $5 to the pot for the quoted list
