Colonel Literal did it with the candlestick in the library.

A touch yesterday after my call, and another today... let's hope for non-RFE good gnus (polite antelopes? similar to pancake-bunnies?).

Mox, I want to see a foto of a chop suey rooster with a bandage grenade glued to the distal two centimeters of its left-flank feathers (outer ones only). You da man; advance thanks.

And how can being Canadian be honorary (whoops -- "hono(u)rary")? Where is Canadia? Isn't it merely a more-arctic North Dakota?

T-B. (gleefully remembering the "trash-Canadia" trash that he gave to his Canadian ex-girlfriend before she was Ex, and which had nothing to do with her ultimate exxitude)
StillThePrettiest
'honorary' never gains the 'u', even in countries that add it to 'honour' wink.gif

same goes for 'humorous' wink.gif

I think I'm just going to keep spelling things with a "U" and I'll keep writing the date "backwards!" If anything just to annoy Nick!!!!

EVERYTHING gets a "u," if it irritates someone from Canadia. :)

And, Prettiest, if you're in Australia, you should really type while standing upside-down so that those of us in the Northern Hemisphere can understand you. :)

We (the editorial We) didn't say that Prettiest was FROM Australia; we said that if she were IN Australia (we think). We think; therefore, we u.

The crucial gripe against adding the letter "u" to everything is this: Doing so consumes so much time that it cripples national economies and social acceptability. To wit: England (Brittania used to rule the waves, but no more); Australia (they, or we, must stand on our heads to be understood); and Canadia (a third-world country, eh). There is no disputing these indisputable facts, which cannot be disputed.

Q: How did Canadia get its name?
A: C eh N eh D eh...

:)
StillThePrettiest
completely backwards, TBone; Prettiest is FROM but not IN Australia tongue.gif

and who says I DON'T type standing upside down? in the immortal words of Miracle Max: 'Look who knows so much...' tongue.gif

(in any case, upside down as opposed to what? what's 'up' from the north pole? what's 'down' from the south? you're acting as if the earth is a ball suspended over a table or something; there's no up OR down tongue.gif )

I think I will always write the date the correct way; I just can't see the sense of doing it the other way tongue.gif

(I thought that I had chased everyone away from here, but not so. Ergothuswithforthly, my work here is not done.)

I respectfully believe that you (there's that "u" again) are the confused one, because I can prove, via this dialogue, that you're not here:

T-B: Are you in Canadia?
STP: No.
T-B: Are you in Guatemala?
STP: No.
T-B: Are you in Equatorial Guinea?
STP: No.
T-B: Well, if you're not in any of those places, you must be someplace else. And if you're someplace else, how can you be here?

Present or absent, though, you remain The Prettiest. :)

T-B. (again fooled by monobrow)

you funny tongue.gif

you remind me of the little fish in the story I used to read as a kid, who could be silent in 33 languages... 'be silent in Greek!' his friends would say, and the little fish would be silent in Greek; 'be silent in Latin!' they would cry, and he would be silent in Latin... wink.gif

and mox - well, perhaps I should not reveal that my sig line before this one was also PB ('Life IS pain, highness. Received hard copy NOA2 yesterday..... CSC put the wrong damn Consulate on it.... totally different country! I swear! Called them today they said for me to fax a letter to their "emergency number" (now that IS funny). So I did...... waiting again.

Also called NVC cuz I was freaking out that they might have already rec'd my petition and forwarded it to Ghana instead of Nigeria (What was I thinking??? lol) but anyway... they said not to worry because they don't go by the NOA2 on where to send it, they send it to the country of finace' residence..... novel idea! This process is just entirely too stressful!
