what makes you think that?
Ovaltine Jenkins
Because I read their thread not too long ago...there were quite a few people still waiting from 2006 and early 2007...I think the guy from 2006 who was actually finally approved a week or two ago was complaining cuz he felt like he was the only one waiting so long and quite a few people responded that they also have been waiting smile.gif
StillThePrettiest
well, if they're active they can tell me, and I'll add them back in, as I said... if you look at the waiting lists there are some that go back to 2004; there's no way THEY'RE all still waiting wink.gif

I agree it's not going to be completely accurate, but the fact is some people start a timeline on here, and then stop coming in for whatever reason, and it never gets updated... obviously we can't contact them all to ask them whether we should take them OFF, so we'll do it the other way, and ask them to tell us if they should be put back ON smile.gif

innocent.gif Oh YAY good.gif thanks Stilltheprettiest you helped me jump from 392 up to 349 .... all in a twitch of the nose... innocent.gif Now perhaps we should send USCIS the DVD's of Bewitched so that they too can learn how fast it is to speed up the process...

I realise that some cases would be more complex than others... but seriously - how hard is it to have a person - with a checklist, opening a package, place barcodes on all the pages enclosed... work through their list... in a simple order... (like the visa approval is REALLY not the approval... that has to come from the NEXT waiting game and the interview...)... LOL..

So simple list...
Cover Sheet - check
Check - check
Application - filled in/signed - Check
Proof of who we are (Bio information) & photos - check
Birth certs & any divorce papers - check

Story of meeting - check
Proof in some way shape or form of meeting in previous 2 years - check
Letters of intent - check..
Bunch of other stuff that may or may not be important at this stage - check...

too simple... do it - pass it on to the next person... either Person (a) for further scruntiny and questions etc.. or Person (cool.gif for the APPROVED stamp... then ship it out to NVC...

blink.gif sorry - I know that it is a "tad" more involved than this, and I am not making light of it at all - but there must be some applications that seriously could just move through the system like a breeze... as I said this is really just the staging area - not the full-on deal...

Have a GREAT day... oh and thanks again (that jump put a spring in my step) LOL... even if it is just on a list (and only a VJ list - we are probably only 10% of the real number of K-1's)..
Tracy

Yes...they receive 2-3 thousand appliations a month...and yes an easy application can be adjudicated as soon as in 15 mins...so if your one doesnīt bring up any security flags or something, it can as well be adjudicated in 15 mins...after they dig through the thousands of applications that are waiting before your one good.gif Good luck smile.gif kicking.gif kicking.gif kicking.gif kicking.gif kicking.gif

Okay you guys, the happiness from my approval is starting to wear off because I just called CSC and they said that I'm still in the staging area. I thought for sure since I recieved my approval on the 1st of November that I went with all of you on the 6th. Besides I got a touch on the 4, 5, and 6th, and nothing since then. WOW, I thought for sure I was on my way, do you think that they're telling me the truth. NOw I feel so bummed.......

Hey Rodgiegirl,

Mine took 15 days from NOA2 until it was sent to NVC. Like you I got several touches but nothing was going on until it was sent on Nov. 6. I called NVC last night and they had just entered my case into their computer. So from CSC until NVC was 8 days. Hopefully yours will be shipped very soon. Good luck!

Thanks! I feel bummed though because I was "for sure" that mine got sent on the 6th, but oh well, what can I do?? I was still hoping that we would be together for Christmas. At least I have my approval, I'm thankful for that. One question though, I've already got all my forms to send him, do you think they're going to be "expired" or too far off since they haven't sent it to NVC yet? Well maybe not because My NOA2 is dated the 1st and if they look at the supporting evidence it's dated after that, so what do you think?
bakofoil
I think Stilltheprettiest's ideas for the list are fine and sensible. It is sad for people who have waited more than six months for an NOA2 and no one is saying we should ignore them but since USCIS has some kind of 6 month promise then it is safe to say that those people (pre April 12) are not sitting on a shelf awaiting adjudication, they have been adjudicated and awaiting further evidence or stuck in some kind of AP hell. Very sad for those people but we can not assume that everyone bothers to update their timeline.

Thanks for doing the list. It is useful to see roughly what is happening at CSC and saves me looking at individual timelines and filtering for approval posts smile.gif

And another big fat congrats to weedebz for that NOA2. For me, Debz's approval was always the sign that July petitions were on the desks. Now we know we're getting somewhere. Good luck everyone smile.gif

weedebz
thanks for all the congratulations. we are kinda in shock as it's 3 weeks earlier than expected kicking.gif

your celebration meal sounded fab! I saw where you wrote about it in another thread... and the icing on the cake to be given it for free; what a lovely thing for the man to do smile.gif

Hey Rodgiegirl smile.gif yeah we have also been thinking we were sent off with the Nov 6th crate...I canīt think of any reason why it shouldnīt be that way. CSC claims they wait to fill the crates so our stuff should have already been in it. Anyways...we are pretty patient as for now. This part of the waiting doesnīt seem too bad. Unless ofcourse it turns to be 6 weeks instead of like 3 weeks tongue.gif We will see good.gif
Meanwhile we are still hoping for our late January wedding whistling.gif

Seems like an awfully slow week for CSC:(

I mailed in a my Military Expedite request last Thursday, and that resulted in a touch on Friday. I called them yesterday and a very nice woman told me that an officer had called for my petition to review it and make a final decision. I was told by the woman..."Don't worry about it at all Sir."

When i looked at my status today...i got a touch AGAIN, but it was today...not yesterday when i called. Does this mean someone actually did look at it today, or was this just from the phone call? I thought u got touches on the day you called them with the RFE trick?....anyone know anything about this?

I don't think I've stressed this much in my life....basic training didn't even compare to this...haha.

do u think the woman even knew what she was talking about when she told me an officer had called for my petition to make a final decision on it...or was this just something to get me off the phone? She actually did put me on hold for a sec to "look to see" if an officer had called to review it...who knows.

Is it bad if I have several touches before an approval? It doesnt mean something is wrong does it?

She might...then again she might not. It's a major gamble when you call the misinformation line. You probably got the approval today because of the call you made. I wouldn't worry about it.

Well USCIS doesnt file in order of petitions. Just depends on who is working on your file. Each Adjudicator has about 50 or so files working on them. The faster and efficient that Adjudicator is, the quicker we receive approval notices for NOA2 if no red flags are produced... There was a thread about this two or three weeks ago where everyone in June filers started posting their WAC and found out it was irrelevant.. Good luck in getting your NOA2!

This has been a slow week. What's going on?? Are they still taking time off from Veteran's Holiday?? whistling.gif
StillThePrettiest
someone said they were told there were training days scheduled for the staff at VSC; perhaps CSC was doing the same thing... and yeah, Veterans' Day could have had an impact... plus the last few weeks have seen most of the approvals (and the VJ timeline updates) at the end of the week, making me wonder if employees who work from home come in on a Friday and scan all their files for the week smile.gif

plus when I updated the list tonight, I found three changes - one recent approval, but two from longer ago who have just today updated their info smile.gif
that's not GREAT, but every approval is good news at the moment wink.gif
