I, too, called USCIS last Friday to update my address and when I asked about the fires possibly affecting the casework, the rep was nice enough to check my case and tell me that I was not assigned yet and how to check the CSC processing times online. She told me about the April 12th date and also said the same as someone else mentioned, that it could be only one case from April 12th that is still being processed, and doesn't mean that they have not worked any cases received beyond that date.

So, I was not surprised to see a touch on 10/31 but I was surprised to see another one within the last few hours!

Rodgiegirl and Alane you have many friends on here that are sending positive energy your way.
We are all here for you guys, so if you need to rant go ahead. I do not what else to say but to continue being strong. It is coming!!!

Thanks after, I don't want to be impatient or ungrateful, cuz I know that people are still waiting who have been waiting longer than me. But I just feel so hopeless right now. I feel like they have my life in their hands and they don't care at all about what we're going through. I haven't seen Rodgers in 7months, and I miss him so much!! I was hopeing that we would be together for the holidays but now it look like that's not gonna happen. I feel like all my dreams are crashing........the church that we reserved to have our wedding at called me a few weeks back about the details of our wedding, because we booked Nov. 10th, thinking that the visa would be done by then. I had to tell them the bad news that he wouldn't even be here. I feel like he's never gonna get here. I don't know what to do.....I'm so sad right now. I miss my Honey, I'm just overwhelmed....... I feel like CSC doesn't even care about what I'm going through. DO they even know how it feels to be seperated from the love of their life??? Do they know how it feels to have to prove your love for someone before you can marry them?? This is horrible, I hate this process.........And this is day 162, I can't believe that I'm still waiting.

Sorry to say every time I have called I have gotten two touches..

Do federal employees get the day after Halloween off? Just curious...

LOL..no...I wish we did However, with the federal job I have, we always work..no days off at all (One of my jobs is federal at the airport..we never close!)

I know just how you feel Rodgiegirl, I haven't seen my fiance since last November..in a few weeks, it'll be a year and I too thought we'd be done with this whole process by now. I'm sure they have no idea how hard it is to be apart from their loved one. My friends in the military are the only ones I know (other than my friends on this site) who really understand how I feel.

Keep your chin up! You, ramzis, mirla and byron and other May & before May filers should bet getting your NOA2's soon. I hope when I log on tomorrow that I hear some good news from all of you! Mirla, I hope you find out what your RFE is so you can get it taken care of!!

I just checked our petition online and we got an RFE. I'm f'ing pissed.

Well Jamie thats not good. Really though not really bad. Watching others it seems as soon as they get the info needed the approval comes right after that..

I love their number you call to tell you about the RFE, then when you get in touch with customer disservice they say they can't tell you anything about it. Bunch of morons.

Don't lose your hope. We are all with you. I think that employees at USCIS are not very helpful. They say whatevery they are supposed to say without checking. They need to be trained more.

Thanks...just really took a lot out of me when I seen that. We followed everything to a T. We have an attorney but we filled out all the paperwork ourselves, he just checked over everything. He has always been good about responding to my questions so all I can figure is it's something stupid like a misplaced paper or they think the website we met on (yahoo meetic) requires an imbra waiver...I'm just guessing right now. IF I have to fly to Thailand over Thanksgiving for a day just to get more evidence, I will do that...really want to save my money for when I go there in (hopefully) February to get her.

Chasnik I think you just bumped everybody at CSC's estimated approval date up a day. 313 days that's terrible!

I met my fiancee on an internet site and even though they did not arrange for marriages, I still checked the box that IMBRA applied. I figured I would let USCIS decide for themselves.

Aaaaaaaaa we got approved yesterday!
And it was only this morning that I posted that we had no touches no updates and nothing aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa Lotsa people are getting lotsa touches and updates these days...it sure will bring lotsa new approvals this week
(Went to check USCIS site before bedtime as usual and got a touch today and found out they sent out approval yesterday)

What do you do while you guys are waiting for NOA2?
I am really thinking what I should do. It will probably take another 2 months to get NOA2 since I sent my package on July 27th. I cannot go get police certificate until I get NOA2 and package from the embassy. Ummm.

I dont believe in VJ's timeline anymore. The other week it says our I129f may be adjucated on November 03 now it says it may be adjucated on December 01. good thing it doesnt say it may be adjucated after 100 years. *sigh*

I'm not sure I understand what you mean... if you mean 'just generally', then the short answer is 'get on with life'
if you mean 'for the visa application', then I've spent a bit of time getting paperwork together - both our birth certificates, his divorce certificate, etc - and I've done some reading about the next bit of the process... will probably apply for my police checks soon
otherwise, there's not a lot we CAN do; it just takes as long as it takes
