Opinions please....I called for my monthly call to the csc and the guy told me that we should hear something in 2-3 weeks....Ive not been given a time frame before...we are in background checks or so they say. Im trying not to get excited....who thinks that he actually saw something on my file? Im grasping at straws here!
You sent your petition in December of 2006?

I assume you must have had a name match with a bad guy. I sure hope they release you from purgatory soon!
By the way, have you requested assistance from your senator or congressman? If not I think a little congressional attention is long overdue.
Congressman Deal has been "looking" into it since August...CSC hasnt yet answered his inquiries. The have told us in months past that we are in name checks, then background checks, now this 2-3 week thing. Did I mention that the CSC is actually the headquarters of hell here on earth?

Good afternoon my fellow May filers...geez..I expected to get online here and see lots of approvals from over the weekend..what's up CSC & NVC..my friends need their approvals!!!
I also checked the USCIS website on my case and it still says "pending" As long as I have my NOA2, it's fine, but kinda wierd they still haven't updated it. Hey afterforever, did they update yours?
ramzis, mirla, byron, rodgiegirl (and all other May filers of course) I'm thinking about you and ready to do the happy dance with you as soon as we hear your good news!
Keep your chin up..it's got to be soon!
(I posted this on the May filers thread earlier and thought I'd posted it here as well, sorry. I'm really hoping you all get great news tonight via snail mail (like mine) or email!!)
No touches, no nothing again this morning. I wait patiently at work for the beloved CRIS email----and when it doesn't come I hope to see the elusive hard copy in my mailbox----nope----not yet!!!! The ever patient Alane & Ramzis

CSC is ignoring a congressman's inquiry? Does not sound right. Time to contact your senators also. Multiple inquiries cannot hurt and you need someone to raise some hell. Deal is not getting the job done.

Hey, at least be happy you have some activity within your account !!! My NOA-1 was initiated three days before you and I have not had any recent touch activity !!! You will most likely have and NOA-2 before this week ends !!
There may also be more work involved by the Laguna staff, with respect to those of us who are K-3/4 wherein, they have the I-130 and I-129F to reconcile as well as a childs CR-2 to process ??
Most RFE's come earlier in the process, during that intial pre-NOA-1 and/or while at the NBC in Missouri, my personal observation only.

Kamel and Asiya,
Congratulation!!!! Yeah more and more June filers are approved. The USCIS website has been posted a comment that they have been delayed to process paperwork. Do you know how much every is delayed? like usually before this crazy fee increase, processing time was about 3 to 4 months. But, now it became like 4 to 5 months, and 6 months for some folks. I wonder if they really process packages based on the received dates or jusr randomly.

Thank you all for the congratulations. I feel we are closer now to being together. I hope that the upcoming holidays doesn't slow NVC's processing down. The rep I spoke to today said that they don't necessarily go in order...they basically are taking the easier ones first. He did give me a tidbit of info on the process to update the website processing dates saying they are suppose to be updated every two weeks. I said since I signed up online back in July they have been updated more like once per month and he said yeah that happens...he said to check by the weekend and if it isn't updated then it will be updated by the 15th. He also said that the April 12th processing date that was last and currently posted could be there even if there was only one petition still left in April to be approved. So don't lose faith. Everyone will be approved soon. Insha'allah! Oh and another thing...he said that the receipt numbers have nothing to do with order of processing.

The whole USCIS thing stinks. People who submitted packages or whose packages were received after mine are getting NOA2s (not that I begrudge them THEIR happiness, but there ought to be more happiness to go around). Furthermore, my call last week (through the b*tch screener to the very nice Immigration officer) has NOT resulted in a touch.
The fiancee says that her family and friends all keep asking her when our papers will be approved. I am out of excuses and "stalling" tactics.
Other item: An immigration attorney to whom I'd spoken recommended that I send in the I-134 (or whatever the "financial support" package is) along with the original I-129F. I did this. Two questions: [1] Could this be slowing down the processing of my I-129F? [2] Will I have to resubmit a fresh I-134 package during the next step of the paperwork process, or can I simply send a notarized affidavit to say that the finances are materially the same as they were in May?
If you're merely speculating about the second question, please refrain from answering; if you know for sure, please answer.
I apologize to everyone for being such a grouch, but reading the VJ forums invariably makes me feel infuriated and depressed about the situation.

couldn't agree more that USCIS stinks, but why do you need 'excuses and stalling tactics'? this delay isn't your fault, and it's happening to everyone; why can't you just tell them that at present, this is how long the process takes?

I don't know for sure so sorry in advance for answering. I also sent mine with the I-134 and mine seems to be taking longer too. I have gotten touched Every day since Friday and suspect it is the affidavit of support slowing things down. My roommate that submitted his at the same time I did was approved on the 18th and the only difference between our petitions is I sent mine with the I-134 and he didn't. After I had already sent my packet I read on VJ that it isn't recommended to submit it this early in the process.

I don't know if that's what is actually causing yours to move slower or not, but I was told that the I-134 is sent to your finace(e) along with a copy of the NOA2 to take to the interview. USCIS usually doesn't receive those, but you think they'd just disregard it and move forward...ahhh...but look what orginization we're talking about here. I would suggest that you prepare your I-134 with supporting documents to send to your fiancee when you receive your NOA2 with it being notarized close to the date of the NOA2 as they need it for the interview, not at USCIS.
Good luck and I hope you hear something soon!

I would suspect that they would just put this form aside and not do anything with it, since it is not needed until your interview. Who knows what goes on in the minds of those who work at USCIS but at least you know they are working on your file. Good luck

Well I donīt quite get it with the website update. I used to think they have scanners and whenever they do something with a petition they scan the barcode they put on it and therefore it updates in their system. So if they arenīt online and the website doesnīt automatically update all the time and the website doesnīt pick up their system updates it doesnīt make any sense. Because if they have to manually tell the website to update once every two weeks, how do you explain that some people find out about their approval online and some who were approved donīt have their status changed untill 3 weeks later. The only explanation I can think of is that the adjudicators who take piles of petitions home (cuz they work from home) arenīt online and only have the scanner available in the office where they come once a week or once in two weeks to return adjudicated petitions and pick up new ones to work on.
