ok here it is, 121 filiers 41 apporvals from may 31st to june 30th noa-1 date.

but isn't it accepted that your NOA1 date doesn't necessarily indicate when you actually filed? if you check the 'June' approvals' timelines, you'll see that many of them actually filed in May, and would count themselves May filers... I just don't see how that stat above can be correct

however, I may be missing something, so please fill me in if so smile.gif
DKM
This is ridiculous, Scott and Tanjay are you so desperate to try and pretend 1/3 of CSC June NOA1s are NOT approved? thanks Rob&Jin for pointing out the obvious.

Yes I used the NOA1 date and not the mailed date, even if its not what USCIS prioritizes by, its still the date on all of our documents that VJ uses. Some people with NOA1 did in fact mail theirs in May but that is splitting hairs.

I also did not include VSC as they are in their own black hole and really seperate from the rest of us in this process.

So no matter how you look at it, 37 out of 115, 41 out of 121, those are still both about 33%.

Yes I'm bored waiting for my fiancee to get online...

Oh and the edit wiped out my smiley after my initial question so don't think i'm angry. July filers cannot get angry until next month! cool.gif
StillThePrettiest
'splitting hairs'? are you going to apply the same logic when it comes to those poor people who filed in August and got NOA1s in September or even October? do you truly count them September or October filers even when the received date on their NOA1 is some time in August?

I know this is getting close to the old (and endless) discussion of which date VJ uses, and should use, for the timeline stats, but whichever way you cut it, if someone's petition was mailed on May 15 and their NOA1 received date says May 17 but they didn't receive the hard copy until June 28 then they are still May filers, to my way of thinking

and I'm not 'desperate' to be anything other than logical tongue.gif wink.gif
Jeraly
I'm wondering if I can't see the July filers on there because I don't have my glasses on yet...
DKM
This isn't a debate because I said 33% of June NOA1's were approved which is a fact. You can tell me they were sent before June and some received before June but that doesn't mean I said 33% of June "filers" were approved.

Since people on here decided to use a the NOA1 date of receipt to determine what month of a "filer" they are, its unfortunate because VJ does not track that date. So to use the data we do have, I used the NOA1 date. That's logical.
StillThePrettiest
it's logical within the terms of reference you set up for yourself, yes... I would question whether it's of any material value to us in making any projections about our own situations, which is what I'm interested in smile.gif

but as this is not a debate, I will concede that yes: a third of June NOA1s have been approved, and nod heartily yes.gif
Masha2008
Wow Scott and Marta, this is crazy!!! It is soo nice that you made such a nice list.
Well, I am a July filer who is waiting for NOA2. Ahh, I need my visa now!
Thank you.

I agree. I started getting upset around day 120
Tim Y
I think it goes by received date on the NOA1 I mailed my roommate's papers with mine and for some reason his NOA1 shows it was received the day I mailed it. He was approved last week. His NOA1 date was one day after mine. no matter when you get the NOA1 paper in the mail it still has a valid received date printed on it.

I do not take offense to you calling me desperate. As, I will be the first to confess to that. I misunderstood what was said. I took it as 1/3 of all June filers have been approved. Okay, DKM,Rob&Jin...you win!!!
Tanjay
151 days now since filing.....C'mon CSC lets see plenty of approvals next week!!!! yes.gif

Noone is being desperate. You are just trying to make yourself feel better about how many people from June were approved while they actually werenīt cuz they filed in May. Nothing wrong with your choices but try to be nicer good.gif I used the sent date for this list since this is the most accurate...for NOA1 received date people use like 3 different dates so itīs very inaccurate. For example we received the notice after 111 days but the date on it was 3 days after we sent the petition. So much for NOA1 being accurate. I also didnīt include VSC in the list of names and I wouldnīt say they are in a black hole...they are just in a different center than NSC/TSC/CSC good.gif And it doesnīt hurt being more friendly here I think kicking.gif

At least you have some recent touches !!

Another week has come and gone with no action at all for me and I am now at day 134, since my I-129F, NOA-1 receipt. Maybe this new week will bring some good news, before I catch the China Southern flight to Guangzhou and a another visit to my Lao Po.

This is all so amazing......to have to wait for a P-2 for such a protracted time period.

I can only hope that the journey to and out of the NVC and then onto our Consulate in Guangzhou, is within the normal timeframes !!?? unsure.gif

Don't let the touches throw you. Most of those are from me calling. The last one they said my petition was with an officer though, how many times have people heard that line before?

So very true!!!!!
StillThePrettiest
ain't THAT the truth... I read a comment left in the last few days (can't remember where cos I had a lot to catch up on when I came back from a week away) about how the person was just looking forward to NORMAL things - deciding who's going to do what around the house, going to the cinema together, putting washing away, etc etc... no one who's not denied that normality can truly understand what it's like to pine for it sad.gif

I notice I fall in June Filers but I consider myself a July filer due to the fact although I sent it on 27th June it was from scotland therefore probably didn't even hit US soil until July. Still if it puts me higher up on list I'll take it
Masha2008
ya, that's a lot. But, USCIS is working hard.So I hope that then can handle July filers quickly. The good thing is that much less people have applied after fee increase, so a lot of workers have less date entry. Not like tons of applications are coming. unsure.gif

I agree, sent date matters little its the date they acknowledge recieved that matters

I agree with that too...sent date matters little...but since on VJ itīs the most accurate one I used that one...like I said before...people use all sorts of kinds of dates when entering NOA1 received date...someone writes the actual date when they received the notice, which might be 3 months later from when the notice says their actual USCIS received date is (but then VJ uses it for their other statistics), someone writes the date that appears on the website (which is often different from the one that appears on the hardcopy)...etc....there have been many discussions on this so I donīt think I need to discuss it again....on bszooms lists many people didnīt appear at all simply just cuz they never received their NOA1 notice...therefore I used sent date for this matter like it or not...and if me using sent date instead of received date insults you cuz it puts you 10 places up or down on the list please accept my apology biggrin.gif the list is just for fun and to give people a general idea....not for cutting peopleīs heads off if something isnīt 100% tongue.gif

You know...itīs kinda weird...I have always been making this list just for myself...started cuz I never appeared on bszooms list cuz before we didnīt receive NOA1 notice for a very long time...now bszoom has better things to do so people start crying for a list and when someone posts one there is always someone who comes and just criticizes...even if I made this mistake (which I didnīt) and didnīt include you, you could just be nice and ask for me to add you...I am not as smart as bszoom so I have to do this thing manually...and therefore there might occur some mistakes...so what? whistling.gif
Guess people who try to do something nice always have to listen to some complainers tongue.gif

Scott, Tanjay et al. did you see my followup post #1553? I had a tongue.gif after my question but it was removed on the edit and i guess you can't re-edit an edit on here. That sort of turned the spirit of the message to a bit more negative than I intended it to be. By all means we are on the same side here going through the same pains.

Scott, have you tried pasting that into excel to format it better for on here? I tried it and I couldn't get it to look right so I think bzoom used something else...

So anyway, I'm looking forward to watching CSC make up for last week by pushing 40 out the door this week!

and you did it all manually??? egad... I think you should send a few PMs to bszoom and get the secret of the code; we don't want you to have to spend THAT sort of time too often wink.gif

ain't THAT the truth...

I think that was me biggrin.gif

Yeah - Bszoom uses code to generate the lists - it might be worth seeing if he will share the secret!!
