Full Version: Waiting for a NOA2 from CSC for your I-129F?

Well what it looks like is that they call the customer service number or something and then say that their case is taking really long and that they think they got an RFE or something like that...and so the person answers them something...usually if you call 5x a day you get 5 different information...people who were already approved werenīt told they were approved and were told to wait a couple more weeks...etc...sometimes people get lucky though and get a nice person on the phone and they give them an accurate info on their case...but mostly itīs very inaccurate I think..
Well does anyone know how to do this "RFE Trick" ??? I'm ready to call:)

Follow these prompts:

I just called, and the lady insited that even though my case has been assigned that it can take 60 days for the officer to make a descision. I told her that I know that people are getting approved who filed after me, and she said I'm still within current processing times and then hung up on me. So their working today..............I talked to someone.
yep that sounds about like every call I have ever made to them

So how is this a "trick" - just because you ask about whether you got an RFE?
Is it worth doing at all? I'm not sure I really understand the purpose of it....

Rodgiegirl when I called last week, I was told it would take several weeks. Sounds like she just wanted to give you the easy answer without checking, to get you off the phone. Hope you get approved this week.
Haha - well we know they're answering phones even if they aren't working! Nice of her to hang up on you - you should call again and see if you get to speak to someone else

Nice...so it might take up to 60 days once you are assigned? Interesting....also nice that she hung up on you...I guess they donīt get paid to answer your questions...?

Wow. Just, wow. This is the service offered by the oh so powerful and oh so wonderful United States government. What a f-@&-ing joke. I really don't understand how this country ever got to be so glorified.

Still though, if you work in C.S. you should know how to handle phone calls and even angry people., I thougth they teach that stuff in training??

I already called twice and she was the second person I talked to. The first guy was nice, but somehow the phone got disconnected

Ya I work in a call center for the phone company and if I treated even an irate customer like that I would be shown the door.

I did the same thing today. Got the same response. I don't know, but it almost seems they are catching on to the RFE trick? The guy I talked to was nice (better than the first guy I talked to) but man, it sounds like they are outsourcing this job too.
SSAH, you checked google maps for the wrong area, CSC is in Orange county and the nearby fire is the Santiago fire, across I-5 from the CSC. But it is not moving in that direction, is about 10 miles away and still has a lot of city in between. I never said the CSC itself was in danger of burning down, no chance of that happening. My point was there is probably a work slowdown going on.
I do have family in the area and one is on evacuation watch (lives about 8 miles north of Laguna Niguel). I'm sure some people did not show up for work there the past two days seeing as some of them would rather be at home in case the winds changed direction. And the Metrolink and at times I-5 has been closed from the south so some commuters did not make the journey.
I hope to see some approvals soon!

I do not think that would happen. The person you speak with on the phone is not the same person working your case. I called twice in one day then called two days later. I do not say anything about an RFE. I just told the guy that I was very stressed out and that he could really help me out if he gave me some useful info. I said the same thing all three times. Good luck if you call again. Still hoping you get your appproval this week.

That's an old list Seattle..the most recent he did was right after coming back here with his fiancee on Oct. 12th.. He's kinda busy spending time with her and planning his wedding, but I'm sure he'll revise the list when he gets the chance 
I doubt it, would you? When my girl gets here I'm sure as heck not going to spend hours putting together lists that are no longer relevant to me. I really doubt bzoom will do another one (but I hope he does!). It would take a while that is for sure.
My cousin in Laguna Niguel said that most people did not show up to work today (and the air quality was horrible) so I doubt CSC employees would have made the extra effort to be there. Certainly the lack of approvals speaks louder than my opinion...things will get going again soon!

Well he is smart and doesnīt have to do it manually (which I canīt say about myself
) so not sure how much time it takes him...There are people who still keep coming here after they go through the whole visa process so you never know, he might find some time to spare

Hello Everyone,,, as of 8 pm, yesterday 10-24-07, me and Mercy are approved. Didn't get an email but looked on USCIS website and the notice was there, stating 10-24-07, they mail our 797. Best wishes to the rest that are waiting.Hope you all will get good news soon

It has been 3 months since I sent my application. Ahhh Crazy. Come on USCIS. Approve more people. Congratulation those who are approved.
Our status changed to approved at some point this evening. I have been checking obsessively so I know that it changed sometime between 8:30PM and 10:00PM!!
