how does someone file Sept 18th with CSC for k1 visa, beneficiary country is canada and they get their NOA2 in 32 days?
url=http://www.visajourney.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=92930doesnt say anything about military expedite. Am i missing something here? That is great for them and i am happy they got their NOA2 and are moving ahead with their process . wish that was all our stories. but whats the deal. there are still may filers who dont have an NOA2. Wish i had their luck.... inspite of the backlog and people with no NOA1, CSC can give out an NOA2 in 32 days and it not even cuba, its canada.
maybe CSC has hired new people who are working on stuff after the backlog. Or is Canada expedited like Cuba?
Chris
They may have used their case to train a new adjudicator. I heard that they sometimes pull out cases for that purpose and they get dealt with outside of the normal timescales.

I tend to agree with you here....definatly sounds like a training file unless there are other elements we don't know about.
Come on CSC...you are doing well, pat on the back where it's due. Keep it up and who knows backlog may be clear in no time...unfortunatly too late for us june and july (possibly august) filers but slightly better news for newer filers.
Ok maybe thats still a bit premature!!

That does not make sense, why would they need to pull a sept file as a training file, they could have just use any file, say for example one of the may or june files thats still pending. IMHO

Is it a problem with VJ as to why the list of those receiving their NOA2 is not showing up on the timeline (under Immigration Timelines then View K1 Visas)? I've noticed a number of people who have received their NOA2 yet they are not showing up on the timeline. When I click on their profile and check their timeline, it generally shows they have updated as their NOA2 date shows up. Not sure if that makes much sense.

Yes, there is. The last update was 10/12. Bszoom was doing the lists for us, but now that his fiance is here, he's busy planning his wedding and spending time with her. I'm sure he'll update it again soon. The last one was just after he returned.

After browsing the forums more and more recently, I have to admit I'm rather curiously speculating on the NOA2s of ramzis51, Scott and Marta, and Tim Y. It's got to come through soon for all of you! So great to see it happen for u2rsobad and afterforever in the past few days. Hopefully CSC doesn't get all slow and completely useless again.
And all the touches Jamie76's (as a June filer) gotten lately have made me even more anticipative...

That data is only as reliable as the people who update their timelines. I would guess most of the pre-May 25th CSC filers who are waiting on that list aren't still waiting in real life.

Actually, most of the pre-May 25th filers are indeed still waiting. I've chatted with several of them and unfortuately they are waiting and trying their best to be patient. The same goes for those who filed at VSC.

LOL..I knew I wanted to get married after 1 month! But, he wasn't ready. I lived over there for 15 years, about a 10 min walk to his family's house at the bottom of the hill. Lots of factors played into us (me) waiting. I was divorced (not very socially accepted there), had 2 children already, I'm older (no prob for him, but was for his dad) and to his family's dismay..I'm not Japanese. He's several years younger than I and wasn't ready for an instant family with me let alone being written out of his family (his father's threat..then stating "no foreign blood in this family"). Due to a death in my family, I had to move back to the USA and after being apart, he's decided he doesn't really care how his family feels, he's not going to live any longer without me. That's the jest of it in a nut shell. They say good things come to those who wait...well, I've done more than my fair share of waiting

Scott, re your comments about staying positive:
You are exactly correct. I read an earlier post where some guy was trying to get something going about writing letters to Lou Dobbs and Oprah. He said he was happy he could be an example to others. A letter to Lou Dobbs? to Oprah? When I stopped laughing, I realized the dude was serious about himself (or herself, whichever it was).
The point is this is a process we have to go through to get to something that is important to us. I believe that my government is doing what it can to protect our citizens, in a manner it thinks correct. I'm not smart enough to suggest public policy, but I think it should be based on something more than selfish interest. Quite frankly, I doubt that the civil servants who carry out policy foresaw the coming of recent problems. It appears that they handled those problems as best they could, given the resources available to them. And I, for one, am not interested in pouring more money down the government drain to merely shorten the process, if it is in fact working efficiently. I doubt anyone here has the knowledge to intelligently comment on the efficiency of this process and I suspect if they do they are probably sympathetic with those workers who are on the wrong end of someone's anonymous wrath.
Calling somone names (retard, etc.) simply because he/she works for the government is baseless, tasteless and spineless. I feel bad for those workers who have no choice but to sit and to listen to the braaing (I think I spelled that correctly) of sheep with their incessant complaints about which the employees can do nothing. The guy comes in in the morning, punches the clock, does the best job he can while he's at work and goes home at the end of the day (just like most of us here). Making derrogatory comments about our government is safe in a venue that provides anonymity. Saying it in a public place may be a bit more hazardous to one's health. (Not from the government, but from someone who takes offense about such comments.) Constructive advice and suggestions will always be useful, but ignorant criticism yields no benefit.
Scott, yours is the logical approach. This is one part of a journey. Our view is similar to yours. We do what is in our power to speed up the process and we are optimistic about the outcome. We, too, choose to be patient but attentive to what is happening. We eagerly look forward to the day Maria comes home. When this process is over and she is finally here, we will have lifelong memories (fond ones) about all we went through to get her here. And we will have learned about ourselves and each other in the process.
We're getting close; very close, and it gets more exciting every day. Originally we had hoped she would be home for Christmas, then New Year's. Now it looks like we're going to have the best Valentine's Day ever. And if it's later still, we'll still find something positive about it, whenever it is.
Good luck to you, Scott, and to all of us.
