I am feeling a bit down today...I just keep thinking we should get approved within a month...but I have been thinking that for a month already...and the predicted date on the timeline here just keeps moving all the time and it´s now in a month from now again...always in a month...so it´s like it´s never coming

I know you you feel Scott and Marta. I used to think the same thing. At one time that date was pretty accurate but with the way USCIS has gotten all backed up, it really does not seem to mean anything. If you notice, some people have passed their VJ date by weeks, so obviously it cannot be a reliable indicator of adjudication time.

Aaaaaaaa I don´t want it to go past that date!

Okay..my lunch break is over so I'm here to report my findings...

I spoke with a really nice man and told him that I was concerned about my petition because I had not heard anything since I called to have a new NOA1 sent out due to not receiving the first one. I was hoping he could tell me whether or not my petition had gotten lost in the shuffle with them being so overwelmed recently. He put me on hold for a couple of minutes then came back and said "don't worry ma'am, your case was assigned to an officer yesterday on the 16th and although it doesn't show that a decision has been made yet, you should be hearing something soon." I thanked him for his kindness and told him that he just made my day and that I hope he has a great day. He told me to have a nice day as well and I said thanks to him, I would be!

YEA!!!

At least a feel a little more relieved...we should be hearing something soon!! I so appreciate everyone here..it's nice to be able to share this long long journey with others that know how I feel.

Looks like you, me and Ramzis are very close. Did you read my post on May filers? Originally they told me my petition was with an officer but when I had pushed the guy to check for sure, it turns out it was with the supervisor. The supervisors diperse the applications to the workers on their team. Either way, we are very very close.

Yes, I read what you wrote. I'm hoping the three of us as well as all of the others waiting, hear something soon. It'd be a nice belated birthday gift for me. I called my fiance in Japan (he's driving to work) and told him about the phone call and he's excited too. His first question was "When can I tell my boss I'm going to quit?" I told him to wait until we get the actual approval...lol He's getting a bit anxious too

Sandi, congratulations on hearing something!!! I'm still waiting for those Neanderthals at CSC to actually send our approved petition to NVC. I'm getting a little pissed that after waiting so long, they can't even hustle up and pass our petition on.

A month to post it on to NVC is crazy, I wonder if NVC has asked for this delay? I just cant see how it can take a month or more to post someting after approval, seems bogus to me.

We still need many many more approvals this week, so ALL May filers can get their NOA2's

My roomate that is doing the same thing as I am was just approved!!!!! I mailed ours together. His shows recieved date of June 6th in error. That is the day I mailed both of our apps. I am verry happy for him.


That proves they go by the recieved date. Mins shows June 11th. They signed for them June 8th. Imagine that. Junes time is here everyone!!!!!

16 approvals so far this week from CSC
(and I think there are probably a couple more from Wednesday that people haven't told us about yet; quite a few timelines get updated a couple of days later)

this puts us on track for another week of about 26, like last week... not bad, not bad at all
and some REAL June filers have been approved (granted, not many, but at least it's a start )

I see 19. Are you excluding the K3's?

Oh by the way. Can't you guys spare a few approvals for VSC? We have only had 1 all week.

I know I posted this already but I just want to let some of the guys here who have not read my post yet. Anyway, all we did is touched them before they notice that we still exist and the next day they approved our application!! I am happy! I know that sooner or later all May filers will be approved!!!

what have they got to be annoyed about? I've nothing against them and wish them all speedy approvals, but seeing what's going on with them is about as relevant to my interests as trout fishing in Quebec

Im in favor of posting in areas that are relevant to the subject (having said that) I have freinds that were married abroad, even had a child born there and had a very difficult time getting their Spousal Visa. Its not easy on any of us applying for any type of Visa involving bringing someone to the usa and have it approved. We all here I believe have legitimate reasons 'love, happiness' in why we have filed in the first place. Despite what anyone may say about our relationships at any time, I wish all here success and a speedy approval. And much more happiness when our future spouse or 'spouse' arrives.

Anyhows...we've managed to move our wedding from may 3rd to May 31st so giving ourselves 3 extra weeks....doesn't sound alot but in this process I think it'll make all the difference.

CSC K3 filer here. I 'll admit to something: I spend more time in "K1 forum" since there is usually more "activity/noise" in here than K3 forum and ofcourse wayyyyyy many many more approvals than K3. So, you know, I have to congratulate all of 'em VJ K1 members and I guess I get some consolation that CSC is processing some apps and they will get to mine someday.

If you guys have to know, I have pretty much read ALL of the VSC/CSC K1 official thread's pages (and many other K1 threads, mostly to keep myself informed with recent happenings) in past few months and I can tell you that I probably know some K1 VSC/CSC filers and their timelines as much as any co-K1 filer, if not more. lol

BTW, I m not posting to express my vent/frustration or to cause any controversy to the above quote. I know its all fun (well I hope it is) but I m just letting you know that there is atleast one K3 filer who is lurking around in K1 forum all the time... hehehe. Again, just to keep myself informed with recent happenings/news/changes with K1/K3 apps than anything else.

Anyways, I wish all K1/K3 filers all the best and good luck for a speedy approval. Also, I m really happy for all the CSC/VSC K1 filers for their relatively faster (to K3) NOA2. Believe it or not, I really am. At CSC, We(K3) still have many April/May (and maybe a few March filers) at CSC waiting over 180 days(not that you guys care ) and take it from me, its not a pretty feeling.

Again, take this post as a light-hearted humor and we are all in this together so gook luck to all.
