I would say it depends on the proof supplied and the maturity level of the applicants.

There have been many VJ couples with big age differences that got their approvals. They might look a little closer at couples with very big age differences, but you can make sure you are prepared with your evidence.

More important than the age difference, is the proof of a bona fide marriage, so make sure you have plenty of evidence of that.

You will not be denied because of an age difference, but because it is a characteristic common in fraud marriages, they do take a closer look at the relationship. BUT it is only one factor, there are so many other characteristics of fraud/legitimate relationships, it tis the whole picture you present.

Pic are not always enough because fraud couples can also take pictures. Gather your evidence and organize it to put together a complete image of the relationship. How the interview is handled also weighs in.

In short do not worry so much about the red flags and focus on how to show what you truly are- a legitimate couple. The consualte officers do not know you and can only measure your legitimacy based on the evidence in front of them

I am hoping that our age difference doesn't effect us either. He is going to be 62 and I'll be 44 this year. He is from the UK. I don't believe love knows age and it shouldn't matter. His biggest fear is that he will be viewed as a public charge because of his age. He is actually in better shape physically than I am!

I strongly believe that if you have enough proof you will be ok. They may ask you more detailed questions during the interview...but i wouldnt worry about. The fact is that you have nothing to hide. I know its easier said then done and while going through the immigration process we tend to worry about every little thing. But from an outsider looking in...you are ok. Besides, as you get older age gaps are not so bad. Its not like hes 30 and your 15. Hope this helps
