OK I'm sure its here somewhere but I can't seem to find the answer or maybe i just don't understand the answer.

We are considering filing for a CR-1 rather than going the K-3 route so I understand about filing a I-130 for my wife but do I also file a separate I-130 for her son? Or is he included on hers?

Finally anybody gor some recent timelines on CR-1 for Ukraine??

Thanks

From I-130 instructions, page 1:

1. Who May File?
Form I-130 Instructions
A citizen or lawful permanent resident of the United States may file this form with U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) to establish a relationship to certain alien relatives who wish to immigrate to the United States.
You must file a separate form for each eligible relative.

I'm not familiar with the Ukraine timelines.

You will need to file a petition for each person. My husband has two kids and I have to fill out an I-130 for each and pay 3 seperate fees. My timeline is for Mexico so it won't match. Try searching for them.

There's a lot of good information here and some of it will be more up to date than the instructions on the forms. However, reading the instructions on the forms is critical to your success. Your's is not a stupid question but it clearly was asked before the form instructions were read and understood.

Now let this be a lesson to you, young man! yes.gif

If you don't study the guides and form instructions, you are likely to proceed with too little information to know about the questions you need to ask. Don't trust yourself to figure out what you don't know. There's too much of it.
