on the uscis website it says may 1st - case recieved and pending! this was over 90 days ago now, i assume this would be the date of my NOA1 ? can anyone confirm this for me? apparently there had been delays in sending out information by a long long time, but i guess this shouldn't matter as we know they have receieved our case? Many thanks

No. The date of your NOA1 would have been the Notice Date on the hardcopy (paper you should have received in the snail mail). It normally takes 3 months or more to process the petition, then in which you will be waiting for the NOA2 (the approval of the peition). After that it goes to Nebraska Service Center, who sends it to the respective consulate, who in turn should send something to the SO in the mail regarding their medical and interview appointments for the visa.

My correction as well...I just checked mine...the May 1st date is correct as being your NOA1 date.

Actually after it is approved (NOA2) it is sent to the NVC - National Visa Center, before it is forwarded on to the consulate.

The conulate will send the beneficiary "Packet 3", which consists of a checklist that must be completed and returned to the consulate before "Packet 4" is sent, which provides the beneficiary with an interview date & time at the consulate.

Check out the guides, they are very informative.

Welcome to VJ!!! Good luck on your journey!
