hey,
in P3-P4 from Mumbai (in my case), they just mentioned, providing tax returns for the most recent year. but just to be on safe side, provide last 3 years taxes. submit the most recent to consulate and give the rest to your spouse. and your spouse can bring it to the interview just incase they ask for it..!! somebody else can comment if I have correct understanding or not smile.gif

I dont think, you can include your spouse's foreign income when you calculate pverty guideline ammount..

hope this helps!!!
gluck..

Yes when calculating the poverty guidelines, you DO include your spouse. Because your spouse will be joining you in the house, and you have to prove that you have enough money to support him once he comes. yes.gif

They help with the processing of visa applications in India. You can see their website at:

We did K1 so I am not sure if the K3 route is different. If it is the same, here is the info (anyone who did K3, please confirm if different).

After the Consulate receives the case, they will mail out Packet 3 to your husband. Your husband will sign some papers showing that he is ready for the interview, and he will return them to the Consulate. Then the Consulate will schedule the interview (usually not sooner than 5-8 weeks after receiving the paperwork from your husband) and they will mail Packet 4 to your husband, with interview date and other instructions.

Your tax papers, sponsorship form, job letter, bank statements, etc., will only be needed two weeks before the interview (your husband will hand them over in person at a local VFS office). Since your information should be as recent as possible, you can wait till your husband mails them back the info requested in Packet 3, or even until he gets the interview date. However, until then you can work on collecting the info, like requesting the bank letter, gathering up all tax info and copying it, requesting job letter etc. Good luck! good.gif
