NVC seems to be so slow on assigning case numbers now, is it normal? my I-130 was approved July 12 and forwarded to NVC but until today no case numer yet, its been more than 2 weeks, and today is tuesday and i've read on previous threads that they update it tuesday morning, does it mean i have to wait until next week? OMG! the wait is killing me! Anyone who has the same timeline out there who can share this agony?
YuAndDan
Takes 2 or more weeks for an approved case to transfer from CSC to NVC. CSC ships by truck load cross country. Then can take up to 4 weeks for NVC to process.

It is taken longer for everything lately, it seems they are loaded with cases from the different service centers. It took us about 7 days to get our case # but it's taken a lot longer for other people. The max amount of time I've seen has been 5 weeks.

Took them 30 days to crank mine out... ClockWatch2.gif

thanks! guess i need to be more patient, which is so hard but there's no other choice.. i can see in your timeline that you used the shortcut, i already tried making the aos bill, will you recommend doing it? is seems that the short cut buys the precious time that the bill is going thru the snail mail, i am really considering using it..

See my timeline below.

So it made it to the NVC in under a week and she told me on the phone when I called the NVC that most petitions never stay over 5 days once they are received.

Us CR1/IR1 people have to stay with them 2-3 months. dry.gif

The day I almost had given up, was the same day I found out they finally assigned a case# at NVC... that was 3 weeks of waiting. wacko.gif

wioombeen,

I'm glad to see something moving quick for you. I got my NOA2 a couple days before you, but i called the NVC today and they have not received it. This is holding to form for my complete visa experience, everything is going to take longer then most. My NOA2 took 111 days (no RFE) and now it looks like NVC is going to take the full 4 weeks. I'm keeping hope something during this process moves as fast as most, not slower then most. Just a little rant...sorry

Take care,

Robert

My case took from 6/19 to 7/16 almost a month... and now the DS3032 is taking almost 2 weeks... NVC seems to be getting a lot slower than has been so far...

I agree NVC seems to be moving slower lately. I check the list on the Ankara Turkey website every day for my finacees security check to be complete. It used to be they would update it every Tuesday and Friday when they had received a list of new checks that were complete. Now it has been more than a week and no update.
I certainly hope things speed up. At the rate they are going our paperwork will expire before he gets his visa. And I would hate to have to pay for another medical exam when he gets here just because NVC took so long to finish the process.

My NOA2 was generated July 9 for my K3 petition and still no NVC case number. The part about the truck that occasionally moves files across the country just blows my mind. no0pb.gif A completely random design of this process flow could not produce more pitfalls and delays than the one that exists. It really makes me wonder how it got to be this way?

It is a little known fact that when George W was blind drunk all day every day and avoiding Vietnam, he was assigned to US immigration as a data systems designer . Although he tore up all his plans when he started seeing pink elephants in hijabs hiding under his desk, his dad stuck the plans together as best he could using scotch tape...

the USCIS/NVC systems we are working with today are the product of that and they cannot be changed until george w has been dead for 50 years and the awful truth can be officially acknowledged

hope this explains it now...
