Umm, does everyone get this? I just got this from the USCIS (my heart almost stopped as I thought it was the EAD), instead I get the travel document. Is this normal to receive this or did something happen to the case?
Its normal to receive it if you applied for AP, yes! I'm not sure why you are surprised to get it?

Did you apply for the travel document, when you applied for Adjustment of Status? If so, it was approved before your EAD. If you didn't apply for it, there may be some problem. Perhaps an InfoPass appt. may be in order.
Perhaps if you fill out your Timeline, or post more information, someone can help you better.
