Hi! My fiancee just mailed the I129F package last July 27. He emailed me a scanned copy of post receipt and the check and I just found that what he wrote on the cheque was USCIS instead of Deoartment of Homeland security. Will that be a problem? What can we possibly do?

If they have a problem with it, they will send your packet back and you will have to resend the packet with a new cheque.

I wrote USCIS on mine and it was cashed

Although the 129f form says it should be payable to department of home land security, USCIS website says --->
"Fees should be made payable to Department of Homeland Security or U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services."

So it should be ok. Dont worry. :-)

I saw your timeline that u had already received you NOA1 and touched already.did u received it by mail?
plus we also had quite the same mistake about the payment being named to USCIS.

we named our money order to USCIS and mailed i 129f last 25th of July and nothing heard from them.
we wonder why?
