Part B of I-129F

No.16

I am Japanese. So native alphabet means Japanese? so my american fiance have to write this by Japanese? or Can I write by myself?

No. 18
my american fiance have to write how we met ? We met in 2004. It is not within 2 years. Can I write?

If we can write inside of box on NO.18, we dont have to write on single typed page attachment that say in No.4 step-by-step guide on how to file for a K-1 visa for your foreign fiancee? so we dont have to prepare no.4 ? No. 4 is only for person who want to have more space to explain how we met?

if you met in real in 2004 , its 3 years now , just give an explanation how you met and where
and yes its your US fiance who is supose to fill it out since he is the petitioner
( in my case we did it together while I visited him in the states )

if you can squeez everything how you met in box 18 , no you dont need an extra sheet( I used an extra sheet there was not enough place for answering how we met how he met my kids,
and what fun we have as a since we met

lovelylip,

18 - You can simply complete line 18 with no further 'added sheet' if you feel like it - however most feel 2 lines is not enough.

You should be aware - the main requirement to fulfill is having met in person within the last 2 years - not three, or two and a half... Unless you can prove some sort of hardship as to why you have not met this requirement, your petition could very well be denied from day one. From what I've read, these hardships are difficult to prove and/or get approved. I (and I think others) will advise you guys trying to meet again before filing the petition (if that's possible)...

We wish you the best... good.gif

Have you seen each other since you first met 3 years ago? You'll need to actually see each other within the past 2 years of filing and provide evidence of that.

As Karin und Otto said, "hardship" is difficult to prove and if it's financial hardship, that's not really going to fly with USCIS because as far as they are concerned, if your fiance doesn't have the money to go see you, how will they support you?

Your fiance fills out the paperwork - not you. It's filed by the US Citizen.

Question 18 says: Describe the circumstances under which you met. This refers to your initial meeting.

Therefore, you describe the circumstances under which you met. For example "I met my fiance in March, 2006 when he was on vacation in Tokyo and we were dining in the same restaurant. We stayed in touch, he came to visit me in March 2006"

Then you can include the evidence of your meetings as documentary proof of having met in person in the past two years and that you have an ongoing relationship.

Your name is written one time on each copy of the G325a in Japanese characters. If you signature is also Japanese characters then that's fine too.

Near the bottom of each of the four pages of your G325a, you will see the following words.

If your native alphabet is other than Roman letters, write you name in your native alphabet below:

There is a small space for you to write your name. That is the only time you will do so. (4 times) All the resto of the forms filled out will be in English. If the Consulate sends you paperwork asking for Japanese characters, follow those instructions. They may well do so just before your interview. They do in China. There telegraphic codes for Japanese characters, so the Consulate may ask for the ones in your name.
