Hello everyone! My husband and I are awaiting for our Packet 3 to arrive. We are wondering if we can fax the checklist and DS 230 as soon as we get it since we have prepared all the documents already or is it necessary to do the medical exam first before faxing the checklist. Any information or advice would be greatly appreciated!

I believe the wording on the checklist is "arrange" for a medical (ie. make an appointment). it doesn't require you to HAVE the medical before sending it back.

wow! if that's the case, then that's awesome! all we need to do is schedule for a medical exam. And as what i read on some other post, we can only arrange an appointment during wednesday am i right? please correct me if i'm wrong.

Sorry can't help you there.. i'm an East Coaster & went to a different Dr... just check the verbage on Package 3 contents (as i just noticed you are a Vancouver Consulate goer).. I did go through Montreal.. so just want to make sure that I didn't lead you astray

You can fax your checklist in before you book your medical. The panel physician only sees people on Wednesdays so be sure to take the day off and get there really early.

Book your medical and fax off that checklist! Make sure your "requested interview date" isn't after the date of your medical though.

Requested interview date? that's interesting! i can choose my interview date? how do you do that? via email? and when do you do that? after faxing i guess? please let me know everything i need to know so i can prepare for it!
