My EAD and AP applications were touched today for the first time after 1.5 years of pending - is that supposed to be a good sign?

Well, I guess a touch is a touch, not more, not less, it only says someone did something, but I guess in your case just that alone is good news...
But if it is really good depends on what the person who had it in his hands was doing with it.....
I hope, you get a status update soon!
