We're sending out my mom's application this weekend and this is what we have so far (hopefully, this is enough):

USC husband:
- cert of naturalization
- cert of employment
- driver's license

Cond PR wife:
- phils passport
- employment auth
- GC
- driver's license
- cert of employment

For both:
- I-751
- marriage contract
- joint tax return transcripts for 2004, 2005
- joint tax returns for 2006 with w-2 attached
- bank certificate of joint checking/savings account with 2 months bank statements
- health insurance coverage for my mom and I through my stepdad's work
- joint apartment lease
- power bill in both their names
- telephone bill in both their names
- notarized affidavits from friends

The only thing I was worried about (I talked about it in another post, sorry) is that my stepdad has a PO Box listed in his DL while my mom has our address. I'm hoping this won't be a problem.

Does the packet seem good enough?

In my honest opinion, there are some documents you don't need to submit just because they were not asked for (certificate of naturalization, certificate of employment, driver's license, passport, employment authorization)

What they need is the photocopy of the greencard (front and back) and
Evidence of Relationship:
-- Birth Certificate of children born to present marriage (if any)
-- proof of joint tenancy / residency / occupancy
lease contracts; if they have receipts of lease payments, you may add them;
any invitation cards / greeting cards addressed to both of them
any document showing they both live at the same address
-- proof of joint ownership of assets / joint responsibility for liabilities;
tax returns
bank statements
car loans; dmv registration of car showing both their names; auto insurance with both their names on it;
joint credit cards (you can photocopy the actual cards just to show they have the same account number)
joint utiltiy bills
-- other documents
affidavits
photos
401k/Life insurance showing spouse as beneficiary.

Other people submit the DL to show joint tenancy/Occupancy since they are both showing the same address. But since it's not required, you don't have to submit them if you feel they won't support or help your application.

Just as a note, since you mentioned "savings" account...are you sure there are no 1099s to include with the 2006 tax return? In addition to W-2s, any 1099s or Schedules should also be submitted.

what about life insurance policies showing each other as beneficiaries, 401K account designating each other as beneficiaries; I personally included joint accounts bank statements for past two years (one for each quarter) and 40+ photos from trips allover the world.

I know that a lot of people here thinks the Letters from family and friends is not really necessary. But, in my opinion it doesn't hurt to include some letters too. Looking at your list, I think it is okay but it could use some more.

I had included in our joint application 5 letters from friends who knows us and all those letters were notarized. I don't know yet if it did any good as I didn't get my 10 year GC yet. We did send a package 2 inches thick of evidence. If that is not enough I don't know what is enough.. depends on the immigration officer adjudicating the case.

I don't think either of them have life insurance policies and I don't think they have 401Ks either.

I also wanted to know, does the I-751 need to be notarized before it is sent out?
