I changed my name with SSA 2 days ago. I need to go to the DMV within 10 days to get my name changed on my license. The thing is I'm waiting for my NOA1 for AOS which I sent off on July 16th and was received at Chicago July 18th. Once I have my NOA1 I cn then get my license extended for 1 year as it is due to expire next month (when my I-94 expires). Should I just wait for the NOA1 before going to the DMV to get my name changed so I can do it all at once? I dont want to keep returning to the DMV, and they might get funny if they see I have less than 1 month until my license expires. Do you guys think that I will receive my NOA1 within 8 days? Thanks

I think you'll get your NOA soon. I got mine 10days after sending it in. Save a trip to the DMW!
