If I go to live with my fiancee in Russia and marry her there, can I do a DCF application fo her visa. It seems there is a requirement that the US citizen must "reside" in Russia at least 6 months. I wonder if this is a hard rule or will the US Embassy let us do the DCf if I'm only in Russia for a short time? I know of some US men who did the DCf who did not live in the FSU country for 6 months, but this was not in Russia.

Also, do I have to marry my fiancee in Moscow or can I marry her in her city (Krasnoyarsk).

The residency rule is a hard one set by the various consulates some allow a few days, and others don't allow DCF at all.
