Yeah! It's Thursday, my Friday this week!

One of my gfs is coming down from Kalamazoo to stay with us tonight and she's bringing her one month old daughter. Yay! Moh and I are so excited to have a baby in the house (even if it's only temporary).

Other than that just a normal day for me.

Awwww the poor babies. IMO the shots aren't the worst part, it's when the vet takes their temp. that makes me uncomfortable. Kitties don't look too comfy when that happens either. Poor kitties.

I need to take my cats into the vet! I'm trying to see if we're moving first. If we stay, I'll have to ante-up for the new tax in October-- they are going to charge per pound on your pets as a personal property tax.

Awww i am sure Boo and Bella will do just fine. I see you finally chosen some wonderful names for your cats Jenn! very cute names. I just got a cat too on Monday she is adorable I named her Princess she is 9 weeks old and she is do her shots soon too.

I would really appreciate it if you all could keep me, and my fiance in your prayers we have not seen each other in 18 months, and we are now on 4 1/2 months on A/P i really miss him and the wait is getting to me so much! Sending good vibes your way for a speedy reunion...((((vibes)))) I know how rough it is. The closer it gets to the "end" the more you wanna just give up. That's how I felt. We had a 4 month and 1 week AP/AR. Just out of the blue one day he gets a SMS (from TNT) saying the visa is on it's way. Here's hoping you'll get your "out of the blue" surprise soon.

My neighbors cat was in heat until 4 am. Lucky for me all her suitors were lined up outside my bedroom window.

that SUCKS!!

Oh you have no idea how much. So for all you cat lovers out there, how long does this usually last? Last night was the 3rd night for this cat and by far the um, LOUDEST night yet. I wannaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa sleeeeeeeeeeeep!

It usually lasts 5-7 days. My last kitty went in heat every 2 weeks like clockwork. Can you say, annoying???

WHAT? 2-4 more days of this crap?

Moody, you are SO right about being so close to the end...making you want to just give up. By November of this year we will have been apart for 4 years!!!! The A/P for us was a year and a couple of months. It's been really hard on my husband since our little boy has been born. Especially now that he has started talking a little bit.

I'm SO hoping that when his file is finally received in Rome (sent June 14th from Casa BUT still hasn't been received as of yet) that they will go by the year of his case file and expedite it. I don't know if I can take another 6-9 months of this.

Amira - Could you get a spray bottle and fill it with water and spray it at the cat so that maybe it might move to another place besides underneath your window?

hi everyone! things are great here... went to a promising job interview today then took abdou to try vietnamese food. he loved it! yay! last night we went on a ferris wheel and ate at a more americanized mexican restaurant and he loved the beef fajitas and shrimp ceviche. i figured out he didn't like the first restaurant because he doesn't like corn tortillas! he really liked the flour tortillas though! yay!

we're going over to my brother's house tonight to meet more of my family! *gulp! i'm baking a cake to bring (can't decide between carrot, coconut, or cheesecake!)

Which one will be the least popular so that there are leftovers for us?
I would love to see you coconut recipe. I adore coconut.

i'll send it over in pm now! it was a great coconut cake i tried at my friend's wedding and the baker gave me the recipe! i decided on cheesecake with strawberry topping since my family loves it and abdou's never tried it before. i hope he likes!

Hi everyone..along the cat theme...my mom just moved away and i have "adopted the cat", actually its quite nice because the kitty Samantha Jane is my kitty from high school...ok she is old im dating myself a pinch..hahaa...but she is doing well...however I kinda have a psychotic kitty...He was fine, cute cuddly until he went to the vet and then came back w/some missing parts he has never recoved...i have kept him downstairs for now...and i am kinda scared to introduce him to her...i think i will put two gates on top of another and let them sniff each other for a bit..ok...no seriously folks...when i take him to the vet he sounds like a wild animal...the vet has to make sure she has too ppl on hand to handle him...and she wears gloves...and once i sedated him so it would be less traumatic on him...well lets just say that did nothing to calm his psychotic nature..i think he needs some kitty therapy?? lol...anywho...wish me luck....ok that was a long story

Personally, I find the smooshed-in faces to be supremely unattractive... but it's not the fault of these animals. I'm glad they have admirers to give them a happy home !

I used to love them buy I was never big on their nasal drip and sinus issues, and now for some reason their look is wearing on my interests... I have 3 little boys (cats) which do not have smooshed faces at all In fact Puddles has a very long and narrow face, like a siamese.

I always wanted a pug and when I was in junior high we got 2, Tug and Lucy who are completely nuts. They do things that I never imagined dogs would ever do. The worst thing though is that they shed everyyyywhere.
