hi everybody,
I'm going on a trip outside the US tomorrow.I received the welcome letter in the mail without an interview and I have an Advance parole. my question is: I'm pretty sure I have to turn in my i 94 prior to leaving the US but the immigration officer thought I shouldn't .
what is your advice?
and if I surrender the i-94, do I have to fill out another one in the plane on my way back?
thank you

Have you got your Greencard yet??? if not when did you get the Welcome Letter?? normally once your AOS is approved your AP is no longer valid.... if you do travel tomorrow then yes you will have to turn in your I-94 and if you are going to use your AP then yes you will need an new i-94 on re-entry...

Do you have the green-card?

Your timeline tells us nothing.

Did you receive your green card yet? You don't need to fill out anything, because you are a permanent resident now and so you don't need to fill out another I-94.
I believe the immigration officer right.
