The Jordan Embassy stinks!

My husband was interviewed there and was told he had to get a custody paper, Ok no problem, bring back all orignal papers (ok no problem), and ,.... that the police clearence he got from YEMEN wasnt good enough. You cant get a better paper then the one he got. They dont give out any others.... Ok now what?

Did they supply you with a "different" police clearance to be filled out? Also, did the embassy say how to go about getting this? It is my understanding that it is very difficult to deal with Yemen. I wish I could offer great advice but I dont have the answers. Ask the embassy how a person is suppose to get the police certificate.

Wendy,

sorry about the 221g

found this on the net if you already don't have this information about a police certificate from Yemen. As the above poster mentioned you might want to contact the Amman Embassy for and ask where in Yemen to get one.

Here's the info

Yemen
Police Certificate needed?
Yes.
How to get one?
Local Requests
You should apply to:
Office of the Deputy General Director
General Directorate of Criminal Investigations
Ministry of Interior
Sana’a, Yemen
Telephone: 01-274773
Non-Resident Requests
Police clearance certificates for former residents may only be issued after obtaining a letter of permission from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Yemen. These may be impossible to obtain outside Yemen.

Ok for some reason when I emailed them they said NO the Yemen Police thing was okay, he needed ORIGINALS of our marriage licence as well as birth certificates and a court paper saying he had complete custody of his daughter.. he turned it all back in today along with the passports they wanted...

OK do you think that is enough and it is all said and done?

WE bought the airline tickets for the end of the month... will I eat the 1600.00???
