Recognize that the purpose of tax returns for removal of conditions is significantly different from the purpose of tax returns for obtaining a visa or adjusting status. One needs only the 1040, not the complete return, for removal of conditions.
beckypua's point about the IRS tax transcript being better evidence than a photocopy of the return is a good one, though.

Somewhere on VJ I saw that IRS Transcripts were preferred over your copies of tax returns. .....
Tax transcripts are WAY better evidence. Surprised USCIS doesn't require them yet.
Anyone can make out a 1040, sign it, submit it to USCIS and not even submit it to IRS.
Tax transcripts prove you filed.
Ex! For the I-864 if you submit tax transcripts. W2s and 1099s aren't even reqiured!!
