sorry but I have another question .
Awhile back ( we were already married ) we went to get my SSN but we were told that me and my daughter were still " visitors" .
But I read on here that they ask for ssn when going for your biometrics and all !
When will I be able to get a SSN for me and my daughter ?
Cause now I am kinda worried about that !

SSN is not needed for biometrics, there is a line on the paper that you fill out at the biometrics appointment for SSN but you can leave that blank, we did.

Only K-1 can get a SSN and only within 75 days of entry after that K-1 needs EAD or Green-card to get. K-2,K-3,K-4 need EAD or Green-Card to get SSN.

ahh ok ,
but I didnt enter the US on a visa , me and my daughter entered under the visa waiver program .
And yes when we tried to get the SSN my I-94 was already expired . Guess I'll just have to wait for the EAD .
I was just worried cause I saw a post where it said that that person had to fill out his SSN for the biometrics . So I thought I would need it too !

Someone here on a visa-waiver are considered to be here on a visitor's visa, and visitors cannot get SSN, visitors cannot work legally in the USA, only after or with filing to adjust status, can a visitor get EAD as an interim benefit while waiting for AOS.
