hi,
May be I am duplicating this question: When you send in the EAD 1-765 petition as a k-3 (a 9) category do you pay for the biometrics $70 or not? In sometime ago on this site, some members said their checks for $ 70 were returned because it wasn't for c-9 category. I am confused here. Is there any one who had biometrics for free without paying a fee?
A colleague asked me about it because his wife got an appointment for ead biometric but she hasn't paid the fee yet? And the NOA doesn't indicate that she is required to pay before or on the day of her biometrics. Any experience on that?
Thanks

Hey there, I can't say from personal experience since I had bio + fingerprinting all in one visit. But I did find this thread which may help you.

There is NO fee for EAD bimetrics. NONE AT ALL. And they just get the print of your right index finger and just a photo. That is all.

WOW! Something is done for free by USCIS?!?! I am in shock! I thought we only had to pay once since we were doing AOS/EAD at the same time.

Internetkafe is right.
There is no fee for EAD biometrics. Its just a fingerprint and a photo. I did that in the same K3-a9 category. For AOS, I attached a check for biometrics.
