Hi All: (It was suggested that I post this in this forum)

I have a question regarding the I-134, Affidavit of Support, and I am sure this question has been asked and answered somewhere already and forgive me for asking it again.

Anyway, I am trying to complete the form and I am getting "stuck" on question #7, part 2- I have on deposit in savings banks in the United States. Are they asking for savings accounts or all types of bank accounts? I hope this was not a stupid question to ask.

Also While I am asking, I was wondering if I had to submit the asset information, if my income meets/exceeds the income guidelines? Maybe it depends on the consulate where my husband will be going for his interview. I am sure the Lagos Consulate wants to see everything.

I'd rather be safe than sorry in this situation.

Please help. Thanks a bunch.

I thought it was asking for savings account info only, so I did not fill that section, as I don't have a saving acct., only checking.
I wrote down what I thought was the amount for my assets. I would add what ever I could to make my income/assets higher, better to be safe then sorry. Also, I did have a co-sponsor and he does not have a saving account, he left that blank. What they really wanted was our income tax returns. well I hope this might help some.

Hmmm, I wonder if it matters if I send a copy of my bank slips. Is it different for various African embassies on who wants them? I really don't want to send copies of my bank records if it's truly not necessary. Would just income tax and asset info suffice for the Nigerian embassy?
