I have a question about medical test. I am still waiting for my packet 4 but i decide to go for medical test in Islamabad. The question is i don't have any kind of medical record, when i will be there for medical which things i need to bring there ?? Any additional requirements for the checkup, and what about the medical fee in Islamabad how much it will be in total ??

One thing i can guarantee is that you will be having all of the injections since you do not have any record of having them before. i'll ask my husband what the fee was for him there in Islamabad..

I'm so happy that the process is working for most of you.. unfortunately for me, it's been over a month now and still no pakcet 3 from Islamabad Consulate. My fiance has emailed them to no reply and has called them daily but it just rings and no one picks up. I have no idea what to do. I wonder why it's taking this long.
NVC said they sent it on 11/06/06 so it's been well over a month that they should have got it.. I wonder what the delay is.. Is there anything i can do from this side? I hope there is no inaccurate address or something which has caused a delay. Why is the Islamabad consulate so unresponsive? I would assume that someone that needs attention should be able to reach somebody with information.

Can anyone shed any light?? THanks in advance.

The number for Aziz medical center ( the only place to get medical done in Islamabad) is 051 287 3191.

I sent email to ISB embassy yesterday and receive reply same day. First i tried to call them but phone bell was just ringing then decide to email. I am in touch with embassy from last 2 months and receiving replies same day or in next few days. Try again with different email address may be it will work. Here is the email address..

Our packet was late in coming and when we contacted them it had the wrong address on it. We called the courrier and they still had it and my husband went and picked it up after showing his ID. I see Zaki gave you the correct email address so contact them once again and if no packet ask them to reissue it or find out the courrier and contact them. it aways takes forever to get a packet from them. but, once they decide to prepare it for you expect to see duplicates. dont worry you sent an e mail - just wait for it to get in the mail.
also take the time to find out what address to send it too.



you know she can ask any friend or a co worker to help co sponser you .
also any relative can too.

Called DOS again, they said rashid is in standard security checks and waiting clearance in Washington. Do they tell you if there has been a name hit? or is that only if you get someone who feels like telling you...this guy was really nice though...i think he would have told me.

I emailed the Consulate and they replied back saying that they sent the Packet 3 on November 20th 2006. I sent them an email asking for more information about the courier or anything to track it down or if they can send a new packet to her again.

Anyways Do you have any information as to which courier service the consulate uses to send packages to Karachi? I will ask my fiance to find out from that local office if they have the package there and if she can pick it up from there itself instead of more delays..

Its great to hear. I receive packet 3.5 through TCS office in Gujrat. They call my mobile number to collect the packet as they did not deliver to my village. Infect i receive packet 3.5 twice. One through TCS and the other through Local post office. When i receive 2nd packet i already sent the 1st packet back to embassy with information they asked.

Well, I just wanted to share my experience about biometrics for my EAD. I went to my appointment 15 mins early, there were 8 people ahead ofme, was handed a form to fill out. I filled out the form quicker than all the other people. So I was the first one to be fingerprinted and photo graphed. The staff was real friendly. One thing I noticed was that for the Biometrics in the US, they only FP the index finger on the right hand, unluike the embassy where they FPed index fingers of both hands.

They double checked all my information, made sure i was the person on my passport. Since I didnt have a signature on my passport they verified my signature from my driver's license and the whole process took 5 minutes max.

I was in and out of the office in 15 minutes...

Embassy receive packet 3.5 in November 16th. Still waiting for interview. Why they are taking much time to scheduling interview ?? Is this normal ??

Zaki they take a few months to schedule the CR1 so just hold on a little longer remember they are in the midst of holidays and lots of down times in Nov, Dec and first of January for American and Pakistani events.

What is the hospital they use now?
I guess my wife won't be able to take the shots before the packet arrives to her.

it wasnt shut a month ago! I had to get medical done again as mine expired before the issuance of the visa. I am pretty sure it is open, it cant be closed as Aziz medical center is the only place in Islamabad that does the US embassy exams!

Just call US embassy Today (Monday) and a lady told me to wait 2 more weeks, as they are short of staff due to holidays. I think will receive packet 4 in January. It is my guess, may be they will take more time.

Ladies do get AP/AR. not always but they do. I have a friends wife that got off AP/AR last week
it took her 6 months to clear.

What time does the DOS close in Dallas time?

My wife went thru AR/AP process (complete fingerprint and name check process). It too 6 weeks from the time of complete fingerprint before visa was issued to her. Just be patient since that' all anyone can do.

UPDATE:
Thanks to the help in this thread I was able to get the consulate to send another packet 3.5 to my fiance and she got the packet. I am sending all the documents via courier to her today including the 134 and all the supporting documents, however needed clarification on the 156/157 and 156K.

In the packet the only forms requested is the DS-230 Part I and II and the birth certificate etc. Do they need the DS 156 etc? I'm confused.. why do they make it so confusing. We attempted to contact American Express who deals with the visas and all and they weren't very helpful either so I decided to post here and get some feedback.

I have asked her to fill it out while the packet is in transit but would like to know if we should submit it with the packet anyway to avoid delays *better safe than sorry.

I have two questions, First does anyone know what triggers AP/AR? I'm living in fear that my fiance (a man) will get put on AP/AR. I would just like to understand if it can be avoided.

Second, if I am a USC by birth does my fiance have to wait for his case to become current? I didn't know there was a quota for fiance visas, or am I confused?

Other than that we've hit a similar snag as Fazel (?) and have been waiting for almost a month for Packet 3.5 to be sent to our lawyer here in the US since there is no functioning postal service in Jalalabad Afghanistan. I called last week and they are apparently sent another one out to us by regular post. Fingers crossed it will arrive shortly!

This is only the second time I've posted here but I wanted to let you all know that I really appreciate this forum and the spirit of sharing here. I log in often and I've benefitted from this thread greatly.

UPDATE: Ok well I emailed the consulate and they told asked me about the color of the booklet and that it was perhaps the wrong one.
I did inquire from my Claudia and she said that it is a whitish booklet with a green border in lemonish yellow color and it saiys Family on it and packet 3.5.

Called Embassy and DOS today they requested "Name Check" on 18 December.

when they called me to send passport last week they were asking questions about my travel records and how many passports i have.

the Lady at DOS told My Fiancee that this Check Can take 2 Weeks to 120 days
