OMG!!! I'm so sorry to hear that! There is nothing worse than people who play with your hearts for their own gain! I'm glad that you found out before he came!
Have you tried e-mailing the consulate? Also, the Service center that approved your initial petition would be very interested to hear this. If they re-evaluate the initial petition and revoke it then it will take away his status to hold a fiance visa.
Good luck to you!

I think you can send one letter to embassy and an other to NVC just keep them update that your marriage terminated legally but in order to do that you should have to have ‘Marriage Termination Certificate’ Divorce Certificate.

you are married. you have to file a real DIVORCE.. since you never did the deed
you can go for annullment. keep in mind if you persue annullment he has to agree to it and sign the paper. you can divorce your husband in your state but, the law sayes he has to be notified that your divorceing. he also has to be allowed to respond. you can post in the news paper in the city that you married. there is a time you have to run this posting. have your attorney explain this process to you. you would be filing uncontested divorce. Make sure you have in your decree that if he decides to FIGHT you for divorce that he has to pay for all your fees. this standard on divorce petitions anyways. secondly, there is a form you need to fill out to request withdrawl of petition. ask your attonrney about it or look on USICS web sites. under FAQs. good luck and god speed.

the ISL embassy conducts Random field investigations!
several on this board has them performed. The embassy will verify
the police report by going to the police stations. will verify the marriage paper and any other document you provide. in some cases if not in all.
they will send the passport to the Department of state. Dont play games with your life. take it seriously, stay organized, stay focused and dont make weird errors that will cause you he11 later.
MaryandMian
Mar 27 2006, 03:42 PM
Rmash,
They will look at all signatures and that is why it is so important to do the signatures of yours and your spouse do their own. They do investigate cases.

He should be there in one hour. Im praying for a good outcome,If god is willing he will come out with visa in hand or even wait to get it the same day.Im thinking that they might have something else to ask for our case cause they are always tryn to stall the cases. But we can only think the best.... Im praying for everyone else as well. Its about time they move the cases anyway....I ask you for your prayers everyone in this matter. Since you guys know that my security clearance was done on the 21st. I decided to write to the embassy to see whats going on with our case. This is the reply I got from embassy. I dont know what to say, I am so disappointed. I think they ordered more checks and I dont know how long will it take! I am so sick of this process. I just want to give up...
Dear Sir,
A search of our files indicates that this case is still undergoing additional
necessary administrative processing as part of the security clearance procedure.
Visa applicants affected by additional screening should expect delays before the
case is concluded. It is difficult to predict the amount of time that the
clearance process will take. As soon as it is complete, we will contact the
applicant for continued processing of the visa application.
Thanks

they told me we were clear Jan 13th. Javed called the embassy
then they told him that samething. Javed was mad at me...

really I think they send messages in canned form. they cant be bothered to check the ques or find out whats what. I dont think they have ordered more checks. now its up to embassy to issue the visa. its always their call.

Freeni - you have to divorce.
then you file the paper to withdraw the petition.
visit USICS FAQ
Freeni..
you cant annull the marriage unless he agrees..
the fastest way for you is Uncontested divorce. its also super cheap.if you live in " no fault divorce " state.
example in texas its only 180.00 and thats all folks.

either you or wife enclose a note to the embassy in the packet. say that the I-864 was already sent to NVC.
if there were other documents already sent include that those were sent too to ie. medical, police reports ..
