I have been really depressed ever since friday. not resting like I should, unable to concentrate on things. it was a sharp blow to be told 4 security checks. for the life of me I cant figure why we clear on wed and back to the DOS on friday in 2 days. I cant explain it to javed. I am sure they are making us wait til we been married 2 years - that why they did this.

I called DOS. she mentioned 5 or 6 more security checks pending.
she confirmed again the security check cleared on July 6th.
when the CO got ready to issue the visa on July 7th it triggred more security checks. apprently the cable has some IF factor on there.
because, of this were not getting chit.

I dont think we will get anything til we been married over 2 years. thats my best guess. goes back to when Interviewed the Adjudicator said " javed wont be coming on k-3 " this statement was made 2 weeks after his interview. so I know now she put some hokey pokey on the petition. coding it with dubage. thats why after 6 months on AP. the thing CANCELLED on us. I still dont have a letter saying BTW, we cancelled that k-3 sucker.

Yeah and I was the first one to suggest, write long posts, and beg other VJ members to come together and to speak to lawmakers. But everyone made fum of me. I am still open to be the first to collect signature. just tell me what I gotta do and, INSHA ALLAH, i will do it.

to congress. we hope by this year. we are trying to get regulations amended in areas of name checks, waivers and banishments. it takes time and it take alot of funding.

OK, By ALLAH's will, our I-130 petition was sent to California from Vermont today. This is the message I got

On July 18, 2006, we transferred your I130 IMMIGRANT PETITION FOR RELATIVE, FIANCE(E), OR ORPHAN to an office in CALIFORNIA SERVICE CENTER for processing. That office has jurisdiction over the case. They will send you a written decision as soon as processing is complete. You should receive a notice informing you that your case has been transferred to a local office.

I live in Virginia, then why they say California has jurisdiction over my case???????

CSC is the servicing center..
they will issue approval.. if approve will go to NVC and then you will get all the fee bills and chit.
if deneid. well we wont discuss that. so just wait for CSC say APPROVED and going to NVC.
then NVC willl say some chit like .. we received a petiton blah blah
now send us 70.00 blah blah.. then call NVC 24 automated system 20 times per day.
they will leave messages about your case. they will tell you whats being genrated.
what is being reviwed and it will tell you when case is heading to the embassy...
really that stuff is the FUN part .becuase, you know your case is moving
and you stay informed. plus the agents are avalible til mid night. when its CASE COMPLEAT
thats when the Fun part is over. then the real wait starts. should take 2 months to get to case compleate
from the time you get approved.

Case compleate is also when frustration kicks in because, then your waiting endlessly for a dayum interview. everyone hates this part of the process. soon as they get interview it gets cancelled or
it takes months.

Bhai ae4ever it is USCIS common practice to move cases among its service centers in order to let the petitions traffics flow. It is good sign for you.

SO... I called DOS for the first time today, pending ap for past 45+ days now. His name was Chris if that matters. He said "pending". I said "any details on the security clerance?" and he said "only says that it is pending!"

So... should I call again?

This process is literally going to make me lose my mind!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I called DOS just to see if the FP results were in - I already know the case is pending at the embassy now... DOS said no nothing yet... so I called the FBI # and asked if prints submitted in mid-April would be done by now, she said yes, asked for my fiance's name and then told me there's NOTHING in the system for him - it hasn't even been rec'd yet!??!?!? WTH is going on???? She told me that it goes to NVC, then to them so I should call NVC - I tried that but it keeps kicking me out of the system telling me the operators are busy... OMG this just can't be true, that would mean another 10-12 wks AFTER it gets to the FBI, whenever that happens!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm seriously going to lose my mind!!!!!!!!!!

Has anyone here had to go through the whole 10 FP process w/ ISL? Can you shed some light on this for me please????

well like u said, it is a log process,ad requires alottttttttttttttttttt of patience. so whether they move cases or keep, whether they "touch" it or kick, we gotta bare with them. I, though, have high hopes ad great faith in ALLAH SUBHANAHU WA TA'AALA, so whenever something happenes, I take it as a good sign from him. so all we can do is to keep praying.
By the way I am also working on your suggestion, I have decided to ask my supervisor for family leave next month, INSHA ALLAH. Hopefully it gets approved without effecting my job, I will immidiately leave for Pakistan, INSHA ALLAH. If it doesn't? well as i said It will be a good thing from ALLAH SWT, whether I see it or not.

Alhamdulillah NVC got my AOS fee bill. They will send the I864 on monday next week. SO far so good.

well i am gonna fill that DS230 and send it to wifey for signature through Desi services(aka some person going to pakistan), i expect to get it back AUG 5.

Hafiz, I used FEDEX and it was there in one week and it was documents so not too bad. I tried USPS and another company and papers took longer than 60 days and once a package lost.

Shonnie you have heard my speaking Urdu. LOL The family is lol and in tears with my southern accent and urdu combination. I talked to his dad earlier and he forgot I can speak very little and he gets excited and goes full speed with me. I say hold on tell Mian to translate for me. It is slow going learning the language but you will master in time if I can you can.

Okay so here's the latest in this crazy mess...

I finally got through to NVC yesterday after the FBI call where they said they have no record of my fiance's prints, they said NVC has it, called them, they said we wouldn't have that, called FBI again - same response, called NVC again - same response... then called DOS and s/w Barbara this morning and apparently my fiance is going to get a call-in letter from the embassy w/ a request for additional information, and she said not to worry about the prints b/c she believes they have rec'd what they requested... UGH!!! I don't know what to make of any of it so I guess we'll just have to wait until he goes down to the embassy again - it's a not so safe 8 hr drive down from Afghanistan to Islamabad, Pakistan so insha'Allah it won't be just another run-around trip... not holding my breath... I think I will call the embassy again to see if they'll tell me what additional documentation they need so we can have it prepared... that way when he makes the four hour trip to the location in Pakistan to pick up the letter, he can keep driving the additional five hours to ISL and drop off the requested items.

I've been guiding a ton, which is good. But it gives me just short bits of time to check in. Ali is off on an expedition in the mountains, which is hard for me but GREAT for him. I miss him so much. He misses me too - he's called a few times from a satellite phone which is such a treat! It will be a while before I talk to him next - and I hope it is from the summit of the peak. I can't wait just to be able to e-mail and talk with him like before. Let alone see him again at some point.... It's good we're both so busy.

I FINALLY got everything I needed together, with his stuff too, and got it in the mail. Arrived in Nebraska last week, so we're "officially" in the process now. Yipes! Holding my breath a little to see what comes up for us.

Thought you guys might enjoy this story... I was in Walgreens getting photos and started chatting with a woman in line with me. She asked about my mehndi I had on my feet (I've been doing it for fun and to keep my spirits up thinking of Paki) and I told her I had it done in Pakistan originally. She looked surprised and asked why I was there. I gave her a brief answer and she looked shocked and said "Aren't you scared when your there?" I said, "of what?". Then answered more softly - no, the people there are wonderful, caring and loving just like us... then replied - "the only thing that scares me is my government.... I was there when the US bombed a village on the border of Afgan. and Paki, killing a bunch of innocent people..."

Anyway. She was intrigued about Pakistan and maybe her eyes opened a bit to the world outside here - maybe...

Just to start my post, I wanna show my concern for people who are posting here about there AR, security check stuff. I know its tough. I am concerned about everyone. I feel sorry for everyone. I do care, but I just dont participate in those discussion because I do not have any info about the subject. May ALLAH SUBHANAHU WA TA'AALA help all of us get thru every step.

Here is something I wanna share that everyone would like (though I rarely post stuff that everyone likes). My wife told me that she is praying day and night for approval. I told her that she should just pray to ALLAH SWT for her smooth, quick, happy arrival here and reunion with me. Because we should ask ALLAH SWT for
the whole package all the time. And HE knows best of how to provide us with that package. We dont know if a quick approval will reunite us faster. So, we should just pray to ALLAH SWT to solve every problem and bring our loved ones to us soooooooon. And HE knows how to make it happen.

I will try to keep a balance here, and will use urdu whenever required in context of my post. If I use urdu, that means it was nothing important. If it is something really nice, even though it is not as important, I will translate it in english as well. But believe me, there are things that are just no fun when said in english.

I need some major duas/prayers this weekend please... I called the embassy last night and they said we don't have to wait for the letter since it's questionable whether he'll even get the letter since he's in Afgh. they said to just bring his blue AP letter from the interview day and come one down... he told me what "additional docs" they are needing - 1) all passports (old/expired/current) 2) proof of employment for last 10 yrs, and 3) list of residences for last 10 years... we had answered #2 and #3 on the applications way back when but if they want the answers again, we'll give it to them... I don't know what to make of this... I asked if this should be the last step, he said he wasn't sure but "maybe insha'Allah" - and that if they do give him the visa that he should stick around in ISL for another day to pick it up b/c they understand the long journey involved for people from Afgh... sooooooooooo - the plan is that he's going to get his Paki visa tomorrow, leave for Paki on sunday, and be at the embassy on monday insha'Allah - we've got a "hope for the best and prepare for the worst" mentality at this point so we'll just have to wait and see what happens... insha'Allah insha'Allah insha'Allah
