I have sent out the fee for I129f using my brother checkbook. Is that going to cause any issue? cause its not my check book?

Should be fine as long as it is made out to "Department of Homeland Security" and has the correct $$ amount.

They dont care who's checking account is paying for it.

In the I129F instructions it says: When a check is drawn on the account of a person other than yourself, write your name on the face of the check.
Other than that it should not be a problem. As YuAndDan said, as long as the amount is right and its made out to DHS and they can cash it that they will care. I doubt they will look for your name to be written on the check. Might be more of an issue if the check is cashed but your petition eventually gets lost.

I just check my bank statement and it shows that check was cleared Now i have to wait for my NOA1 for my I129. Does anyone know how long that takes??

When did you send your I-129F? Is 6/27 right per your timeline?

Yes, this timeline shows date of VSC received the package not the mailing time using usps (usually +3- days).

Just curious as to why it took so long. Chicago has been very consistent. But then you say VSC. Did you ship your 129F directly to VSC under the new rules?

yeah... i am not sure either why my I129 took almost a month to clear check. I still haven't received my NOA1 yet. My I130 and I129 went to same location (VSC) under new regulation. I am getting worried about this new trend.....I am hoping to get my approval soon...
