Hi everyone. What's next after your spouse gets admitted in the US? Do you have to file out any other form or documents?. Thanks for all your help in this matter. My case is going through Consular Action. I hope to hear from you soon.

They should get the green card in a month. But depending on the embassy you may or may not have to apply for a ssn when they get her. Check out the forum for CR1/IR1 for more information.

Yes that's correct. Also there is a question on the DS-230 part II form that asks if you would like a SS card assigned. If so elect yes, if not once your spouse arrives he/she will have to apply at the local SSA office.
Once they recv the visa it's valid for 6 months. There is no add'l work unless your spouse will recv a CR-1 visa, and it that case he/she will have to apply to remove conditions (I-751) 90 days PRIOR to the expiration date of the temp green card. Usually the same date as POE.

Keep in mind that some people did not receive their SS card in the mail even though they checked that option on the DS-230. If that happens to you, you will have to go get it in person. Other than that, you can chill until 90 days before the green card expires and file to remove conditions.

You will recieve the green card in a month. Then go to your local Social Security office and apply for his/her card. We marked yes on the DS230 Sheet Part II but never recieved the card. We applied for the card at our local office and received his social security card in a week.
Please fill in your time line

This helps others who are going through the process.
Thanks
