Moh knew what a hippy was before I met him but the way he says it is soooo funny! It sounds like heebez. I suppose you can describe it like...the ppl who were into peace and love, wore huge bell bottoms and smoked a lot of grass. Maybe show him a photo of a hippy.

How about some form of bohemian? Boheme in French? Boemia in italian? It might be the easiest word to translate and come closets to hippie

... lol ohh..hubbies radiator blew today...he called me from alongside the road and let me know that he fixed the "things that moved water from the window"
