We're getting ready to send in Packet 3 for the K-1 Visa. We have all the reqiured documents and have already had the medical exam. Should we send only the DS-156 and Checklist and keep the rest of the stuff for the interview itself?

Also, the Affidavit of Support must me be filled out, but I do not have the necessary financial abillity to support my fiance. My parents are going to co-sponser, so how do I go about filling out the affidavit? Should we fill out 2 forms or just the one by my parents AND does he need to take the Affidavit to the interview or do we send it to the consulate?

If your parents are going to co-sponsor, fill out the one Affadavit of Support for them and send it to your fiance. That should be only brought to the interview.

I'm not quite clear as to the instructions for Montreal, but I know for Vancouver all that is faxed to the consulate is the DS-230 and the checklist. The checklist should have the instructions as to which documents are faxed to them and which are kept for the interview.

Good luck! biggrin.gif
