My fiance is English and we are going through the K1 visa process right now. I have filed things on my end at the vermont service center and we are waiting for his criminal record check in order to file the DS forms with the London embassy. My fiance has plenty of money saved away for our move back to the US and for our wedding while I have very little because I have been getting my masters in London over the past year.

There is a section that says we need to provide evidence showing he will not become a public charge of the US, so we were going to provide his bank info. However, I'm wondering if I also need to fill in this form as well? If I do, when do I need to submit it? And what am I supposed to say about financial support since I am a student and don't have any money saved away? My mom doesn't have much money either, so I don't really have anyone to be a cosponser in the US. Will his financial status be sufficient???

Thanks to anyone who can help!

File out the I-134 and provide the supporting information mentioned in the form, then send it to your fiance to have available at interview if asked for. You do not submit the form.

Have you read the guides?

QUOTE
An applicant for a fiancé(e), Kii or V visa may generally satisfy the requirement of the law by the presentation of documentary evidence establishing that:
  1. the applicant has, or will have in the U.S. personal funds sufficient to provide support for the applicant and dependent family members, if any, or sufficient to provide support until suitable employment is located;
  2. the applicant has arranged employment in the U.S. that will provide an adequate income for the applicant and dependent family members;
  3. relatives or friends in the U.S. will assure the applicant's support; or
  4. a combination of the above circumstances

Number 3 is the simplest to prove and provide, why not enlist the help of someone in the USA to act as your co-sponsor, you still would provide an I-134, and your co-sponsor would provide an I-134.

my advice is go down co-sponsor route. Thats what we are doing. We in basically same boat as you. Nick is here in scotland with me so not employed so we have found a co-sponsor. I'm using my savings as additional evidence of support as the london embassy is one of the very few that will take the foriegn fiance(e)s savings into consideration.
