Background: Fiancee interview in Bangkok last week. Sent away with a 221g, we need a joint sponsor. GRRRRRRR!!!

Okay, got the sponsor, and the sooner the papers get to Thailand, the sooner she gets here.

So, would you guys recommend FedEx or DHL or UPS or ???

I am leaning to FedEx Priority International, as I have used them before, but some others here say that the government itself uses DHL so maybe they are better at delivering documents internationally?

Anyway, a search reveals horror stories of delays using both carriers, but I found nothing specific to Bangkok.

Anyone have Thailand experience?

Thanks so much, we are almost there!!!

I always used USPS Priority Mail to China but was never so much of a hurry that a week or 10 days was too long. DHL has more experience and credibility with international package delivery, particularly in Asia, than FedEx or UPS. If you're in a hurry, I'd use DHL. The other couriers rely on independant contractors for a lot of their deliveries. DHL may do the same in some places but it's the same ones they've been using for a long time.

Make sure you put the local phone number on the package, even if you use the postal service.
