We had our interview on 7-9-2007 and the visa was approved. The embassy in Bangkok were very good to us and the interview lasted a total of 5 minutes. Mintra was up for 2 hours the night before praying and studying her questions. I had never seen her that nervous before. It was funny because the first question she was asked was "How did you two meet?" She answered it wrong 3 times before getting it right. Her English is still coming along, the interviewer was a little hard to hear, and there was a lot of noise in the embassy. The interview, Miss Annie Ho, finally asked her the question a 4th time in Thai and Mintra smiled and finally answered it correctly. The interviewer also smiled because she knew how nervous she was. We turned in our paperwork at 8am and got called to the window around 11am. The only questions I was asked was when my divorce was final and how I got so much vacation time to come to Bangkok 6 times in 10 months. I answered, and the interviewer smiled. Again, everyone at the embassy was very good to deal with and very nice as opposed to some of the reviews I read prior to our interview. Mintra will be coming to the USA Labor Day Week. She wants to, and I encouraged her, to spend the month of August with her family in Lampang. Good luck to all of you in the process and in the interview. I think for most the interview will be anti-climatic and is much easier then you think it will be. As long as your honest and don't lie then things will be fine. Ken
